Lighting: Elinchrom BxRi 250 in a Walimex 150cm Octabox with grid, to left of the camera, full-length silver reflector opposite the model. Triggered with the built-in Skyports. Shot in the apartment studio in Winterthur, Switzerland.
Juriga came over and we did some shot in the studio wing of my apartment in Winterthur. I'd never shot on a white background before, so it seemed like a nice night to try it out. The mask was picked up in the Sulzer-Areal Brockenhalle (Brockenhaus).

We shot the Kantner's wedding 3 years ago so it was extra special when Hollie called asking if we could do a "different" couples shoot with them. We were finally able to get together this past Sunday and it was just a blast. This one just feels like it should be an ad for a sitcom or something!

Ode is an enjoyable guy to talk to. He's very smart and likes to discuss theories ranging from quantum mechanics to states of consciousness. Some of his conclusions are a bit "out there" for my taste, but that doesn't keep me from enjoying a healthy debate now and again.

This is the cover I shot for Amfi Magasinet #3, 2010.
Pretty stoked about it. Really happy with the colors in this one!
By the way, on my birthday May 25th I found out that I was accepted to Fotofagskolen in Trondheim, which is suppose to be a really, really good photography school, so I'm pretty damn stoked about that! On top of that I scored a 100% on my portfolio consisting of 20 of my best images.

Today I used some of my good old light equipment. I had a big Westcott apollo softbox behind me and an octabox cam left. Both had a Jinbei flashhead inside and were triggered via YN-622C. I used a silver reflector cam right to light up the shadows.
Got a call from my friend Kevin, who had a friend who needed some head shots for her portfolio. Nothing to big of a set-up. Took this in a living room, with a white sheet as the backdrop.

Another fantastic creation by Niki Crew. Set in a wooden frame, the canvas is patterned glass, and the wonderful creations, in this case the fish, are made of re-heated glass. This is the fourth one from the shoot.
Strobabble stuff: 300Ws Hobo Lighting Merlin on full power underneath in a 120cm octabox, pointed backwards to light white background. To camera left, another Merlin 300Ws with 7 inch reflector cross lighting the frame from top left. Triggered using Ojecoco H430 triggers at 1/250s on Nikon D800 with Tamron 24-70 at 48mm, F5. Black flags used to the front on right and left to provide definition to the fish.
This shot was soooo hard to capture the detail on the glass canvas, whilst at the same time lighting the fish so you can see the detail in them. Much Photoshop work was required. Could do with more!!!
Nic Stott made this custom drum from me from scratch so I could have a kick/tom combo to loop with a Boss RC-2. Inside is a condenser mic which is held in place by a Kelly Shoe system. The jack, which is flush with shell is a combo jack which allows either an XLR out or standard 1/4" out. I'm going to run this through a equilizer pedal and then into an ABY switch so I can play the kick while laying down the first phrase of a song with my violin. Then I can tip it up and add more rhythm later on by playing it as a tom. It sounds great unamplified and though it is more the size of a regular tom, has quite a deep bass sound as a kick. Once amplified, there is very little feedback unless the gain is turned up really high. Nic is always taking orders to make custom drums, so send me a message if you are interested and I'll get you his info.
Strobist: 2 AB800s one on each side of the drum pointing towards the background at f11. Both were flagged off by bi-fold doors. 1 AB400 in an octabox on a boom in front and above the drum at f8.
Our team had the opportunity to take these 3 beautiful ladies for BetterHealth cover page (Kartini edition, the aspiring woman who was promoting women emancipation in Indonesia). The ladies were dressed in Javanese traditional "Kebaya" as imagined by our head editor (dr Rio Hermanto, who is also Eka Hospital's Director)
