My recent shoot with Laura started with her actually staying dry!
Basically it was an excuse to try out the new 85mm f/1.4 Nano Crystal Coat.
First time out with the new lens and with Laura... very happy with both!

One of my favorite models I've ever shot. She is hilarious and definitely was a trooper being that it was around 25 degrees out during this shoot.

New Haven, CT | blog.peteyphotography.com
Took the drive to New Haven, CT today to shoot DropShifts promotional photos.
The night before, I get a call from one of their members. There was a good chance that today was going to be rainy and we were worried that it'd be poor weather.
He then mentioned that his buddy works at a guitar shop in the area and that they'd let us shoot in there. I was super stoked when I walked in and took a look around the place. It was awesome, heated, loved the decor, etc.
We did do some shots outside but it got cold quick, I might post one up later, we'll see. If I don't you guys will still be able to check them out on my blog
I wanted to try something different with this shoot, in terms of editing and whatn0t. Let me know your thoughts, y0!
I had a great time shooting these guys, they were a hilarious group. The laughs never stopped.

Les and I were hired to do some photos of Sydney for her composite card for her modelling agency, as well as some photos for her portfolio. Sydney's a 14 year old who has has taken some modelling classes and has signed with a local modelling agency. She's a beautiful girl and I'm sure she'll do well in the industry.

Still kinda iffy on this shot. For the life of me I could not getting my lighting down to how I wanted it. Flickr kinda over-sharpened this one, looked better in photoshop. Anyways, what does everyone think??

I just happened upon this spot many months earlier while trekking a hiking trail which runs parallel to a nearby stream. It was a very serene, somewhat secluded, but lush spot. There's also an abandoned factory of some sort just out of the frame.
So, after purchasing an inexpensive, on-the-go lighting setup for shoots like this I called a friend and client Jemelia to see if she'd be willing to be my test subject for the day. This shot was taken as we were setting up..
