A Girl And Some Tunes: The Girl With The Unchained Tragedy

Screamin' Jay Hawkins - I Put a Spell on You

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwXai-sgM-s

She is an artist singer. She lives in the 50's. She's in love with a very mysterious man. She waited for his call all day.

The phone finally rings. She picks up and hears her man with a serious weird tone in his voice. She is mistrustful of him, many times in the past he told her lies.

But this time he seems serious. There's something in his voice that makes her understand it is a matter of life and death.

He has done something wrong, very wrong.

He does not say he will never come back, but she understands as she hangs down the phone that she will never see him again.

The evening comes and she have a show to do. She dresses up for the spectacle, but she feels doing nothing but drinking...

Another episode in the "A Girl And Some Tunes" series. Stay tuned there's more pics to come.

it's huge!

I had arbitrarily ordered the "Large" size (they didn't give specified measurements). little did i know it would be 5 feet in diameter!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all, this is gonna be fun :)

... now to find a beefier light stand...

Zach needed to take some photos for a project (of which this is not part of). Messed around with my hamster, Space Ghost. I thought the strobes would kill him, but he didn't mind...

I'm the new addition to the Addam's family.

Lenay Dunn (Olsen).

AB800 shot through large octabox at 1/8 power, directly above camera.

I'm so mad that I didn't get her entire left foot or the top of the chair in this shot. It was terribly windy and my light stand was set up on broken pavement on a slant. I sat on the ground, directly underneath my octabox (I hit my head on it a few times), holding the stand with my left hand, and used my knee to adjust my lens. There was someone shooting senior pictures nearby, and I'm sure he would've laughed at me, had he seen me.

This will always be my favorite location to shoot at (I did Lenay's first shoot here over a year ago)...it's just a shame that everyone else has since discovered it. Oh well.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to tell each & every one of you to go out and buy The Reign Of Kindo's new album, "Rhythm, Chord, & Melody" - it is absolutely phenomenal. I've been listening to it practically non-stop for the past month, and I love it more and more with every listen.

The Moments In Between - The Reign Of Kindo

The moments in between the words I hear you speak

Desolate and clear, leave me feeling weak.

And I just want to see a beautiful world in my dreams.

But all I see is me in the center of all I see.

Now I feel like a constant, a world that is fading.

All I've been taught to recall simply fails to persuade me.

The attempts to stay while it heals,

And the only way back is screaming the words

Oh my God. What have I become.

I feel this fire burn.

Burn till' I'm undone, never to return.

Oh.

I remember when we were heaven sent

And stars that filled the sky drew a line between you and I.

Oh my God. What have I become?

I feel this fire burn.

Burn till' I'm undone, never to return.

I hear your voice reply as I clear myself inside.

To reduce that trusted with such a peculular fire.

Oh my God. What have I become?

I feel this fire burn.

Burn till' I'm undone, never to return.

There's nothing like living asleep it's a constant dream

With your eyes open see what they never see.

Like the first time that my gaze fell upon this place

I've felt shuttered to feed what I've become.

This is my good friend Oeivind Fykse. The kid is no more than 16 years old, and is no doubt one of Norway's best rail riders. The guy is off the hook!

If you want to see what I'm talking about, make sure you don't miss Next Production's coming movie project "Two Sides Of Life"!

By the way, I'm about to send in my school application for "Fotofagskolen" in Trondheim, and I just wanted to see what kind of criticism I got on this one before I choose my final 20 images. So please let me know what you think!

I also just uploaded 9 new photos in the "Published" category on my website. I posted a few of them here on flickr a while ago, but check out how they look in the magazines!

Having not picked up my camera in [what seemed like] ages, Kailey Sue and I planned a last minute, spur of the moment session.

"Where are we going to shoot?," she asked.

"I'll call you in 45 minutes. Be ready to shoot," I texted back.

Within the 45 minutes, I packed the car while pondering some possible locations within Cookeville. After a little bit of wondering around, I stumbled upon on Dogwood Park. I had used Dogwood Park for sessions years ago, but that was before the city expanded the park with this wonderful paved walking area and fountain. It may have been a hastily planned shoot, but I couldn't have asked for better results.

A Girl And Some Tunes: The Girl Who's Living La Dolce Vita

Nino Rota: "La Dolce Vita - Titoli Di Testa "

www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qcjHLuoSXY

She 's a girl who enjoys the sweet life and her Vespa. As she arrives in front of this beautiful fountain, she decides to stay here for a while and and enjoy the sunny afternoon.

She gets off her Vespa and starts to feel the warmth of the sun.

The soft wind she feels on her skin makes me her want to take a few dance steps.

The sunlight makes her face shine. Life is so sweet this afternoon.

As the heat rises up, she feels the need of coldness. She decides to sit down the edge of the fountain...

Another episode in my series "A Girl And Some Tunes" and the time for me to pay a small hommage to Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita".

Stay tuned there's more pics to come!
