As I am staying in a hotel at the moment I asked the staff if there was anything interesting in their kitchen. My language skills need improving as a wee while later I was handed some pistachio nuts. Unless they have an uninteresting kitchen !

Macro Mondays: Nuts

Little Oakley is not sure which to chose..perhaps he will have lemonade to wash down the nuts. Needless to say, I had lots of fun building this little set and was delighted when the critters cooperated. Confession: this is two shots merged. The jay took off when the squirrel arrived. I am hoping one of the lemonade stand photos (I have more LOL ) will appear in next year's calendar which I am working on now.

I arranged these magnetised hexagonal nuts ( 1cm in diameter ) on the magnet which is out of sight.

There is only natural light through the window. The yellow background is from a yellow plastic bag.
