Creighton Dance Company’s production of The Nutcracker recounts the classic tale of a young girls journey, beginning at her parents’ Christmas party and into her nightmares and dreams. Eventually, Clara is transported to a land of “sweets” where she is entertained by the Sugar Plum Fairy and other dance “confections”. She is accompanied by her beloved Uncle Drosselmeyer, and the Nutcracker “doll” (transformed into a “Prince”) that he has given her as a gift. The cast features dancers from the Creighton Dance Department and younger dancers from the metro community.

This shows the detail of the teeth, and gives some insight into how the bead was produced.

I love nutcrackers, well... known a few in my life... But I love the toys... I used to squeeze my fingers with them when I was over at my grandmas house for christmas dinner. There were a bunch always around, either hanging from a tree, or on an endtable next to a bowl of nuts.
I love the music from the traditional nutcracker story thing... Don't know much about it, not so cultured am I... But I do enjoy, and can remember with clarity the music... ha... and... um... the music is sometimes assosiated with people iceskating too... wtf... I don't know... I'm just rambling on and on and on and on... I'm getting a little bit hungry...like hungary... I'm hungee...
take care all, and Happy holidays, keep eatin...
Someone at the brunch, for reasons unknown, gave Rich and Diane this lovely Clinton nutcracker and corkscrew pair.
All done, and overall, I'm very happy with how he turned out. Faux painted with cheapo acrylics, and autumn gold rub-n-buff for the metalic bits. I used a warhammer-esque dry brushing technique, with somewhere around 8 different shades of red, and 3 off white. I then stained with black and brown inks for greasiness.
This is my mothers collection of NutCrackers. There are a coupld of big ones that don't fit inside. The largest one she has isn't in the picture, it's about half the height of the entre wood case.
