In 1984, the resort was designated a National Historic Landmark and it closed its doors two years later. In 2004, the resort embarked upon an unprecedented restoration and expansion effort. Bedford Springs Resort has decked its historic halls with recollections of Christmases past and plenty of joy for Christmas present. All month, activities spiced with hearty merriment will fill the resurrected landmark resort snuggled in the Pennsylvania's Allegheny foothills, just a two hour's drive from Washington, D.C.
Along with colonial Christmas décor throughout Bedford Springs Resort, America's largest private collection of nutcrackers - more than 500 - will be on display throughout the property through Jan. 1

Her collection has grown to probably 30 (I'm afraid to count). They were the first decorations put up this year, and I was not allowed to help.
