The Chevrolet Nova nameplate returned in spring 1984 as a front-wheel drive subcompact vehicle for the 1985 to 1988 model years. It was assembled in Fremont, California by NUMMI, a joint venture between General Motors in the U.S. and Toyota of Japan, resulting in various Corolla-based cars sold under General Motors brands, also referred to as the S-car within GM. It resurrected a name last used on the compact-sized rear-wheel drive 1979 Chevrolet Nova. The new Nova was a rebadged and mildly restyled Japanese market Toyota Sprinter, a model sold in Japan as a badge engineered version of the Toyota Corolla. Nova shared the Corolla's AE82 platform, 1.6 L (98 cu in) 4-cylinder engines and was available with 5-speed manual, 3-speed or 4-speed automatic transmissions. For the first time ever, quad headlights were used on the Nova (mimicking most other models at the time, such as the slightly-larger Chevrolet Cavalier). It was designed for manufacturability and reached an unusually high level of quality and production speed at NUMMI, compared to other US factories.

Nova 2021 Cas is only 10th magnitude, but appears in a beautiful neighborhood with open cluster M52, the Bubble Nebula, and additional reflection and emission nebula. The nova is the reddish star at the top center, directly above the Bubble Nebula and to the left of M52.
This image is from a filter with only two narrow bands. One is for the Hydrogen alpha emission line and the other catches the Oxygen iii and Hydrogen beta lines. Together these illuminate red, green and blue pixels in a color camera.
The result is an image that cuts through city lights and haze low on the horizon, yet can be balanced for a relatively natural color balance with the HOO palate.

GMT Metrobus 5098 was re-visiting its old haunts here, as it had been based at Queens Road depot when it was new. It later moved to Stockport, and stayed there until its sale at the end of 1997. It then spent two years with the rapidly expanding Nova Scotia operation at Winsford, whose fleet of elderly double-deckers received dateless WJI plates.
After the sale of Nova Scotia to Arriva North West, it was put through the auctions at Belle Vue, and bought by Peter Walsh of JP Travel in early 2000. He put it back into the auctions in October 2001, and it joined the school bus fleet of WE Jones at Llanerchymedd on Anglesey, who ran it all the way through to 2008. It was sent for scrap the next year, but the WJI plate lived on for another few years on a couple of their coaches.

The Asaro Mudmen come from just outside the town of Goroka in the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. The mud men covered their bodies with mud and become white. White colour represents death in the Papouasian culture. On the fingers, they put bamboos sticks to make noise and frighten the ennemies. First people who watched mud men fled, terrified. Then it became a big attarction in the local festivals.The only original mud-man remaining is Mister Ruipo Okoro. He accuses some young men of other ethnical groups who are not descendents of the true ancestors to use the mud men ritual as an entertainment for tourists to make money.
