Nova
Stars are essentially giant fusion reactions occurring in the vacuum of space. Because stars have so much mass, they possess powerful gravitational force—but they don’t collapse because of the outward force generated by nuclear fusion, continually converting hydrogen atoms to helium.
Sometimes stars begin orbiting each other, forming a binary star system. Typically this involves a white dwarf star and a red giant. Orbiting the red giant like a moon, the dwarf star rips matter from its companion until it essentially gags on the excess, coughing hot gas and radiation into space. This dramatic phenomenon is relatively common, and the white dwarf is not destroyed in the resulting nova.

Original caption: In Hollywood blockbusters, explosions are often among the stars of the show. In space, explosions of actual stars are a focus for scientists who hope to better understand their births, lives, and deaths and how they interact with their surroundings.
Using NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, astronomers have studied one particular explosion that may provide clues to the dynamics of other, much larger stellar eruptions.
A team of researchers pointed the telescope at GK Persei, an object that became a sensation in the astronomical world in 1901 when it suddenly appeared as one of the brightest stars in the sky for a few days, before gradually fading away in brightness. Today, astronomers cite GK Persei as an example of a “classical nova,” an outburst produced by a thermonuclear explosion on the surface of a white dwarf star, the dense remnant of a Sun-like star.

Looking along the waterfront and the Elba River.
Beerfest was starting in the cities.
The Coho Motel was once a favorite lodging destination for tourists visiting the Long Beach Peninsula, but now the kitchenette units serve as monthly rental housing in this area which suffers an even worse housing affordability and housing access crisis than even many large cities. Even some of the units which appear boarded up in front and say KEEP OUT are still apparently inhabited, accessible by backdoors. Some of the units still look pretty dignified, but this strip on the north side of the property is pretty abject.
The speed on the remaining operating portion of the Sydney Sub is nothing remarkable, and I was able to leapfrog ahead of CN 1501 with relative ease. Since I had missed my scenic take at Tracadie, I wanted another opportunity to include a portion of the Atlantic with the ex-RDC. The classic view of the test geometry car approaching the Tupper industrial spurs proved to be just perfect. Although the track car is not lit perfectly, the composition makes this photo in my opinion. The crew of CN 1501 will test both spurs before calling it a day after the long trek deadheading from Truro.
My third entry to the small starfighter contest.
The NOVA was designed by Reflex, a small aerospace group based on Ganymede. Years of failed projects had left the group nearly bankrupt. Miraculously, after another aerospace house, Blackrock Engineering, failed to produce an adequate starfighter for a Federation commission, Reflex was asked to tackle the project. The Federation needed a light-weight starfighter, which could navigate thick asteroid fields and still have the capacity to damage armored installations. With only a few months to work with, Reflex prototyped the starfighter in their shop. Using the last of their funds, Reflex developed a new cooling and maneuverability system. After a series of impressive demo tests, the Federation paid a hefty sum to acquire the rights to mass produce the NOVA.

Rail Operations Group's 47813 'Jack Frost' sits in Platform 6 at Stafford having arrived almost an hour early in charge of 5Q32, the 11.26 Portbury Automotive Terminal to Manchester International Depot at Longsight, conveying new Transpennine Express Nova set 08, still in its protective wrapping.
Nova is my haircutter's pint-sized Chihuahua. She's very sweet and finds my shoes quite interesting. Her Christmas sweater looks great on her!
This was imaged in the west until it passed behind a tree, west is not the best direction from my location. This was taken back at the beginning of September but it’s taken until now to get the enthusiasm up to process it as I’ve imaged and processed this on 3 other occasions but this is the first time with this camera.
Object Description:-
M27 the Dumbbell Nebula is a Planetary Nebula and lies in the constellations of Vulpecula. Its distance is about 1,360 ly with a visible magnitude of 7.5 and a diameter of 6 arcmin so it quit a small but bright object and is easily seen in a small telescope. It is believed that this star went nova about 14,600 years ago.
Note:-
As there is a lot of detail to be had in the Oiii (like most planetary Nebula and Super Nova remnants) I combined it with the Ha to create the luminance Layer.

Nova Victoria was voted the worst building in the UK 2017 apparently. I just find the curved supports that run up the building play tricks on my eye - what you don't see in this is the colour - thank god.

Its booked working was 1M93 Edinburgh Waverley - Manchester Airport, but it had been terminated short at Preston due to 'train crew issues'. A nova was discovered on 20 October, 2016, in Sagittarius. So tonight I took this photo of its location.
Its identification is TCP J18102829-2729590 (such a sexy name).
....como hacían maniobras en un corto tramo ese dia tuve la suerte de subir y darme un paseo con ella...recuerdo hace muchos años haberlas visto pasando por L'Hospitalet hacia la Bif. de La Gornal con el lejía procedente de Martorell....
