Frost and ice in Florida? Yes! We have many winter days with temps (F) in the 20s. Hard freezes and frost is not uncommon. One year it was so cold that the giant wild pythons in the Everglades were freezing to death, and it even got to freezing temps in the Keys! The saving grace is that it might be 30F when you wake up, but then later in the day it will warm to 60F! And we have a pretty decent amount of sunshine most of the time.
These are micro shots of ice crystals from the frost on various bits of vegetation in my yard. I have to shoot them early in the morning because even the heat from my breath will start them to melting, and even if the temp is 30F, when the sun hits the yard the frost vanishes in minutes so I have to move fast.
The Nature Spirits have provided me with some delicious abstracts and personal appearances in these micro shots...read the descriptions I’ve written and view the notes I’ve placed on some of the photos, and then view them at their largest sizes available and you’ll be amazed, too!
View more of these intriguing shots I feel like I’ve received as a gift in my set titled “Jack Frost:”

Burmese 500 kip note showing a water buffalo and its handler plowing a paddy field, these animals are still to be seen on every field and farm they were ubiquitous in their presence. They pull carts of produce and people.
As Burma opens up to the world and mechanisation gradually replaces beasts of burden there may come a day when water buffaloes are consigned to exhibits in zoos and children’s parks.
Our local CFUW ( Canadian Federation of University Women ) is a serious organization....with worthy credentials..... of course....but we are also a very social group...and the "gourmet group " provides us with lots of good food, friends, and fun ...and I shoot these ocassions for our archives !
Italian dinner tonight.... and everything excellent..... and a good excuse to set the table careully, with all the best stuff ( and then we discuss what to do with all these nice things eventually....most of our children don't want all that fancy stuff...and don't have room for it ...exception here.... one of Susan's daughters DOES love these things...she will treasure them.)

Krystal Schlegel: Fall Fur
I am so glad fur is back for fall! Transition from summer in a vest version that can be worn for work, dinner, or girls night! Of Course I like to take fashion cues from my favorite stylist Rachel Zoe! She rocks her fur vest over a black top and jeans for dinner or with an evening gown for a night on the town. My other style icon is Olivia Palermo, she wears hers to work over a men's wear shirt, pencil skirt, and belts it. The Olsen twins are also on trend wearing there's with black long sleve shirts. How will you style yours? Start shopping!

I drew this over several weeks in my one-a-week lectures. Then I played around with masks and the gradient tool in photoshop to get this. I also made it my twitter background ^.^
