need my glasses now to read music :(

paper background, scalloped paper medallion, 'Merry Christmas' stamp, tatted wreath and tatted holly berries make a pretty Christmas note card. Palmetto Tatters' Guild sells them at the SC State Fair.

Multi-taskers, artists and those who would rather write than type will appreciate the features of the Samsung Galaxy Note. Those who want to practice their artistic skills can recreate the look of brush strokes, chalk or even crayon.

2/24/13. Headed to Big Sur to meet up with a friend from Hawaii, here for the weekend (!) celebrating her 50th with her husband and best friend. I don't even go to San Francisco for the weekend, much less a 5-hour airplane ride away. I think I'm going to make a note: occasional well-deserved splurges are good for you! In any case, we took a short hike and caught up. It was very fun! Next time I see my friend, it'll be on Kaua'i in November (but for longer than a weekend :-)

Blue Note Hawaii - Louie Anderson - 8-18-17 #RYS

I kid you not. This was a note on an agents file that passed my desk yesterday.

Now I know why we are in a rough patch. God needs to train his temps better...

I am definitely digging the field notes note pads. Futura font, decent paper, and a good sense of humor.

Despite the big parades going on all day, Takayama's schoolkids didn't get the day off. Some of them got to go on a field trip, though, and we caught some of them taking copious notes during the day's float parade.

I took notes in this format to help me visualize more the content for my Molecular Cell Biology class.

It's been over a week since typhoon Ondoy/ Ketsana hit Manila. Volunteer efforts have pushed limits-- We have pushed our limits. Although, we have done all that we can this week there is still much, much more waiting to be done.

There are evacuation centers filled with Ondoy/Ketsana survivors relying on us for help. More people in affected areas waiting for help, food, water, medicine, from us. I hope we don't go back to our everyday norm just like that. We've been a better nation these past few days, don't you want it be that way everyday?

---

On a personal note, I am very proud of all my friends. They all volunteered in some way. Most of them I never expected to help but they did.

Realities defied.

I said it before, I'll say it again.

THIS IS THE FILIPINO I KNOW.
