Blank note paper is stored here. I got these blank note papers from Marukai as well. They are much thicker than Filofax paper and are perforated. My sections are soon followed by all my plastic inserts like this zip pouch (Day-Timers because I couldn't stand the one from Filofax with its chunky zip pull). I store color coding dots, and more stickers here, as well as a photo of my son when he was much younger.
Underneath the lions/gryphons
it is said when it rains, the water runs over the arch down under the squatting sculptures & it appears as if they're peeing. And this is on an entrance to a church.
Very tasty, from Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association

2 pounds ripe medium size tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 cup halved red and orange cherry tomatoes
1 refrigerated pie dough crust
1-1/3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup loosely packed small fresh basil leaves
Preheat oven to 450°F. Unfold piecrust according to package directions. On a lightly floured surface, roll crust to a 12-inch circle. Place in a 9-to 9-1/2-inch quiche dish or 9-inch pie plate. Trim edges, if necessary. If using pie plate, crimp edge as desired. Do not prick pastry. Line the pastry with a double thickness of foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes. Remove foil. Bake 4 to 5 minutes more or until pastry is set and dry. Remove from oven.
Reduce oven temperature to 375°F. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of the cheese evenly over baked pie crust. Sprinkle minced garlic and 2 teaspoons of the bread crumbs over cheese. Top with one-third of the tomato wedges, one-third of the cherry tomatoes, and 1/3 cup of the remaining cheese. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of the remaining bread crumbs.
Repeat with another one-third of the tomato wedges, one-third of the cherry tomatoes, and 1/3 cup of the cheese. Sprinkle with remaining bread crumbs. Top with remaining tomato wedges, cherry tomatoes, and cheese. Sprinkle with salt. (Crust will be quite full.)
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes more or until pastry is golden brown and tomatoes are just starting to brown on top. Remove from oven to a wire rack and sprinkle with basil leaves. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. (If held longer, tomatoes tend to release their juices, which may make the pastry a little soggy.)
Serves: 8
Notes from Gwen: Didn't use cherry tomatoes. Used TJs parm-asiago-whatever shredded medley instead of mozz [will combine the two next time]. Dried basil instead of fresh. I just slapped the pre-made pie crust directly into the pie tin. Added lots of mushrooms in the middle layer. Sprinkled with basil before cooking, not after. Maybe as a side it's 8 servings, but the three of us finished it off as entree. Would make crust fresh next time.

For the last 7 years I've been making photos of this old homestead in the middle of the swamp. Hubby says it has been like this all of his life. I can't help but wonder who built the house, and who lived there, and if they ever saw their home halfway under water like this. I don't know if the old house will stand up to another Manitoba winter. It looks a little closer to the end every time I stop in to see it.
**New Note: Sept. 3, 2008: I have a good friend whose father lives in Neepawa. She describes his farm as having a big red barn and some silver barns on it, on the same road as this old house sits. Well, this old house is just a few hundred yards down the hill from a house with a big red barn and some silver barns, and I know this because I always take photos of that farm too, since it is so pretty. Anyway, my friend also says that her granny used to live nearby in an old house, and for her 90th birthday they took her to see her old house, and she remarked that she was so surprised to find it still standing, but like her, almost gone. Now I am wondering, have I found the house's owner? This is so much fun, and I am dying to show my friend my photos of the red and silver barns that are near the old house, and to find out if they actually belong to her father. If so, this old house might have belonged to her granny once upon a time, and I might be able to learn more about it all. At the very least, her father should know more about the property and its history. Keep your fingers crossed, and I will too!

I CASE'd a card I received from my friend Suna. I copied her idea and design using the washi tape. Use a little Peony Scroll from Altenew for my flower and added a couple of dark purple leaves.

Vignes accompanied the Duc de Luynes an archaeologist, numismatist and art collector on a trip to Lebanon and Palestine in 1864, despite of or because of his passionate amateur status as a photographer.
