Turns out walking for an hour to the spot in a jacket with those clouds above was a bad idea, a very bad idea...

With all too brief a respite in the rain and some backlighting (as I didn't want to hang around any longer than I absolutely had to), Stephensons of Essex ADL Enviro200 YX10FFK (449) passes along Hallingbury Road on the very southern edge of Bishops Stortford with a Route 5 service for the town Interchange.

More recently this bus worked at sister company NIBS, with it now seemingly transferred to SoE control at Haverhill.

Also to note is the photo location, the bus has just crossed from Essex in the background, to Hertfordshire in the foreground 25/09/19

I have boxes and boxes of vintage pen nibs that are, ironically, NIB (new in box, but also “nibs”). Those Falcon points date to 1870, and some models are the same ones Sparky Shultz preferred for Peanuts. When they stopped making them, the story goes, he bought all of their remaining stock. I’ve got about 30 of those points, not to mention hundreds of Spencerian nibs. (They are beautiful, but require a dexterity I don’t have.) anyway, I played around with a bunch of points today and had a lot of fun with them. #dippen #penandink #bw #indiaink #vintagepen #sketching #kansascity #cellarratwinemerchants
