Near the rear door of a Texas junk "antique" shop there is a snooze in progress. I know just how she feels.
My movements woke this tiny visitor clinging to the cabin window, but it didn't immediately fly away.
On my way to Chimney Rock, I came across this little cove where sealions were taking a nap.Disturbing them is not permitted by nearing them anwyay, but it seemed so peaceful and untouched. As it should be.

Cambria Sea Lions
An amazing sight.. Hundreds of sea lions on the beach. Some are sleeping like these two, while others are fighting or just rolling around on the beach. Each month offers different stages in the life of these sea lions.

Er lebt als einziger Bär in Südamerika und nimmt auch systematisch eine Sonderstellung ein, da er der einzige überlebende Vertreter der Kurzschnauzenbären (Tremarctinae) ist.
He lives as the only bear in South America and also systematically occupies a special position, since it is the only surviving representative of the short snout bears (Tremarctinae).
Good grief - every time we think we have Toby's hot spot put to bed he starts bothering it again.
He goes to the V-E-T this week for a teeth cleaning (shhh - don't tell him) so we'll have it looked at then.

my kids never fall asleep randomly. I was shocked to find her napping here at my mom's house like this.
This was an unusual encounter. First off, I am quite sure that this is one of the triplets that are now 2-1/2 years old. This is quite young to be separated from its mother and I'm not sure when or how that happened.
The young grizzly was obviously very tired and probably extremely hungry. There is not much to eat yet and I hope this bear learned its lessons properly to find whatever nourishment it can.
This was taken at about 7 am. I had shut off the car and the bear was obviously comfortable enough with me being in the area. He decided it was ok to have a nap right in front of me, something I've never seen before. Usually, even when they seem comfortable with a vehicle nearby, they look up from time to time to make sure you aren't any kind of threat. To have a bear just lay down in the sun for a snooze was a first for me.
