A spotted sandpiper taking a nap. Interesting fact: the females practice polyandry. She wins and defends a territory. Then she will take up to 4 mates and lay a clutch of eggs for each. The males then incubate the eggs and care for the young. Since the female can store sperm for a month, the eggs she lays for one male may genetically be the product of a different male from an earlier mating.

Riley was using these pillows to play leapfrog in our kitchen. Next thing we know, he's laid down, placed a pillow over his head and grabbed some quick winks.
School uses up a lot of energy so it is a very good idea to take naps while on break. Here I am taking a nap in the Great Hall at BCIT. The Great Hall is an excellent place to meet with classmates, buy some food, or take a nap!

You can't turn your back on this one. Sleepy cat + warm laundry = knockout punch.
Tucker was napping in the laundry room. When I say "Where's that hairy chest?" he'll roll over on his back so I can give it a rub! He's really a very funny guy.

As with all babies, a nap attack can come on suddenly without warning. While I watched, the baby abruptly plopped down and conked out.
