Title: My Shadow
Notes: This week's theme feature's my very own 'shadow', Arrow. He has been my buddy every day for almost 10 years and is the most amazing being I have met that isn't human ;-). Here he is momentarily looking back towards me for a brief second before he resumes gazing out at the birds in the rain. Someone has to keep track of what those dastardly feathered fiends are up to, don't they?
Life goes on and while Haiti experiences apocalyptic tragedies here we have the closing of another bright and beautiful day with Sumo posing for me on a post as he used to do on his own, but has not in a long time. He is so smart in knowing how to take advantage of his size. Meanwhile Haiti is in my heart and on my mind and will not be forgotten. But the discrepancies, the yin and the yang, are a challenge to embrace.

Surreal shadowy figure is seen flying over Tucson. Is it Chagall, Magritte, Don Quixote, or me? I wanted this to be humorous.

Clearly it's exactly where it belongs and I like to feel that the city of Ashland Ohio wouldn't have a good enough reason to exist were it not for Town Run.
It makes me choke to think of Town Run wasting away in some old pasture or woodland where nobody can see it.

The pond and surroundings seemed completely still that day; trees dormant, water glass-calm, all quiet and hibernating. Even the fish weren't making a ripple. In a few weeks it will be alive with activity, the tree winter buds will burst into life, lilies and weed will cover the pond, insects, frogs, ducklings, moorhens will be busy on the water. And the reflections won't be so clear.
