I was lucky enough to drive through Glencoe on my recent trip to Skye. It’s a shame that I could not spend a full day exploring, it was just a quick stop off as we had a lot of driving still to do. My plan was to photograph Buachaille Etive Mor en route to Skye. This is a prominent peak, which is instantly recognisable. I wanted to concentrate much more on the form and the shape of the mountain, rather than the landscape in which it sits.

This is one of the very first pictures I ever took with my Olympus E-500...
Sometime in July 2008, I'll have to check the date on some older pictures or e-mails because the in-camera dates were all tweaked....
**edit**
Got the date:
July 14, 2008
Hello Everyone!!!
As i wrote before i was in Nice France last week and had the privilege to have my hotel in a 5 minutes walking distance of the Lego store....Yippee!!!
I have never been to another Lego store except Wijnegem Belgium so i was excited to see if i could find perhaps new stuff or stuff like that new Spider-man far from home people pack with Ned Leeds in it but alas.... they did not have it!!! I was shocked i mean this pack is supposed to be a Lego Store exclusive right???
I was so disapointed now i know how my son feels sometimes...
I did pick up Jurassic World set 75934 and some nice parts from the B.A.M. stand but did not find those legpieces with the short jeans prints on them... and believe me i dug deep!!!
Also, i totally forgot to bring my VIP card with me and i did give my e-mailadress instead so the store assistant could find me but i don't know if i still get my reward points afterwards.
Does anyone know? Please let me know...
That's all folks, till the next one!!!

Can you see the compact camera between the foot of this tatooed friend? He show me later the results of his captures, and he took very, very good pics. I was walking and thinking about what to capture with my camera when I saw he and his girlfriend. He was taking pics of himself and I started to shoot my cam -from a very "prudential" distance-. When they start to leave the place, I talk to the guy and show them my pics. They like my captures and I promise him that I'll send by e-mail the pics, as soon as possible. He promise me that he can send me his "autoportraits"... when I have his pics in my e-mail, I'll upload it... you can see two different points of view of the same scene. By the way, the tatoo in his left leg (in the right as you see in the pic), says: "Only God can judge me..." A true like a church (temple).
My favourite place in the world, Iceland. I was clearing out my computer and organising my images when I came across this photo without any rating. If an image is not rated, it is usually deleted. A lucky escape for me as I love this peaceful image. So simple and uncomplicated. I think it shalln't be too long before I book another visit. FYI this was photographed somewhere around Thingvellir.

Set the alarm clock for 5:30 AM. Had to scramble and use my emergency backup tripod because my good tripod was accidentally at my best friend's place. Shot through a 70-210mm Vivitar Series 1 adapted to my E-M5 Mark II.
Sold my Fuji X-A1, it was very nice camera (better image quality then my E-M10), but i will stick with m43 for now.

The last image after an unexpectedly late visit of Mt. Hochsalwand. It took me much longer to get up there with all the snow and also less fitness than hoped for. The return to Lechneralm, where I had locked my e-bike was quite dark (I did have a headlamp). This was exposed 30 seconds. I really like how the remnants of snow lead up to the two peaks Lechnerkopf (1547m above average sea level, to the right) and Hochsalwand (1625m).

Looking down Sharp Edge to Scale Tarn on Blencathra this morning. The lengths I go to for a white Christmas. Minutes after this image was taken my bag took a big tumble, breaking my lens in 2, but I don't feel that bad as it could have so easily been me.

My facebook page :
after not running into anyone else for the entire hike, i saw this couple frolicking in the waterfall on mount rinjani in lombok. they looked incredibly cute and i wanted to take photos them, but i felt a little weird about it. i only snapped the one before going back to my own frolicking. we ran into them a bit later and i never really do this, but i mentioned to them that i had a photo and scribbled down my e-mail address, urging them to memorize it since the incredible amount of water around would surely bleed the gel-pen ink off the paper. they did e-mail me, and i learned that their moment in the waterfall was when he chose to propose to her! talk about good strategy, how could she say no? congrats, you two!

I've been extremely unproductive lately...
Probably due to the sudden and misfortunate death of my E-520 (camera pictured here) and my care for my E-500 to not take it out in unpredictable conditions anymore because its just getting to be so worn...
Soon enough I will have my E-3, 14-54, etc. and this Colorado weather wont keep me indoors anymore!!!

... but You deserve the Whole Tree!!
End of school year Teacher gift.
This is the 2nd of 3 teacher gift cookie boxes I featured in my e-flyer.
March 30th 2012 will be remembered by me for a very long time and for one particular reason probably forever.
The day started with an unexpected surprise. When I opened my e-mails that morning I found there one what I was not ready for. If I would say that this e-mail was unpleasant it would be too polite. I have to be honest and in a way I deserved it with my behavior but I was made to believe it was fine and without any bad consequences. I was misled and the result of it was that e-mail in my Inbox.
I was confused and I felt bad. I needed to clear my mind and what would be better than to take a camera and go outside. That’s what I did. I was working in a not very convenient environment for a camera – there was water around and ice, fallen trees and some slippery moss covered stones but I was careful as I have always been and even more careful knowing in what condition I was.
I had been taking pictures for more than an hour but at one point the disaster struck. I still don’t know why or how did it happen. I was looking away for a moment. What I heard next was a crash and when I turned my head I saw my tripod the camera attached down on the stones and half of the lens nearby …
Do I need to say that I was in a shock? I don’t think it’s necessary. I could not understand what had happened nor could I understand how but the fact was laying down in front of my eyes - my Canon EF 70-300 mm F4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens broken into two pieces and my camera badly scratched at one place but it seemed to be working.
But that fatal day (for my lens) had not ended yet. Late in the evening I received another e-mail saying things what I had not been expecting. It was from a friend or at least from someone who I considered to be a friend and support me in the chaos not started by me. But instead of a support the e-mail was about keeping away from me. I felt betrayed. I felt I did not deserve to be treated like this.
I was heartbroken over the broken lens and probable damage to the camera and over the broken trust.
As I found out today my Canon 5D is okay and still trustworthy. The faith of the lens is still unknown. They need to make the calculations what I will not learn before the holidays and then I have to make a decision if it would be worth to repair it or not.
All I can do now is to wait. I don’t like to wait. But at least I know that the problem with the lens will be solved in one or another way. What about the other problem? It’s out of my hands.
