Painted first with frisket, then used sponge brushes to apply 4 different colors of fountain pen ink. Once dry, rubbed off the frisket to reveal white paper then colored in with Copic multiliner markers.

I really need to clean up my work space! I will be mad if I get paint on my books.

Started a painting of the imp, hope it turns out sweet.

This afternoon's Zentangle at the local cafe. The new tangle on the left is called "HatchPatch" and was designed by Mel, one of my students. (Standard 3.5" Zentangle tile, with Pigma Micron 005 and 01, Copic Multiliner 003, Prismacolor watersoluble graphite light.)

Another refresher (#27 from tanglepatterns.com): Pokeleaf, Brayd, Dutch Hourglass, Wigwam, Longwood. Without a string, they developed into a strange shape...

Was not too happy with it, so I added some colour: Copic pigment Multiliner in Wine, Pink and Turquoise. And then added a Picasa frame as a last attempt to spruce it up :)

I had prepared some pages especially for sketching at Cockatoo Island. I collaged kozo paper of various textures and then sploshed a bit of watercolour on and spattered a bit.

Each student at my first Zentangle Basics workshop receives a small gift - the initial of their first name, filled with tangles. The small tags/cards these are drawn on are 41mm (1 5/8") wide x 78mm (3 1/8") high. I drew them with Sakura pigma micron 005, Copic multiliner 003, Prismacolor watersoluble graphite HB. First workshop: 14th November, 2010.

san francisco, corner of columbus and kearny, cafe zoetrope at the bottom, the offices of american zoetrope somewhere up above, the financial district somewhere behind, chinatown and little italy not far away. I had a big brownie while drawing this. Last day of June 2007, san francisco. Copic multiliner 0.1, black and grey, plus cotman watercolours.

Bunny ears string made on a Strathmore 4x4 tile with Copic Multiliner SP pen and 8B graphite pencil. Looks a lot better in person :)

A zendoodling piece I completed during a google hangout. The finished piece is 3.5 x 3.5 inches. Done with Copic multiliner 0.1 pen, and Copic markers for shading.

Ok, so this is the last one. Not ending with a bang, but with an ending, or maybe it's a beginning. These were 30 things you may or may not have known about me, mundane or otherwise, not particularly the most important or interesting things, nor even that revelatory, but such things make up our selves. Also, my apartment, not every inch, not every object, and often the most mundane of things (like the ceiling, i mean, hello, like). In this case, my sketchbooks. I also drew the entire thing using just two pens (using both in each drawing), both cobalt copic multiliners, one 0.1 and one 0.3. The campus bookstore where I got them were discontinuing their stock and these were the last ones, so I knew I had to stick with them.

I hope you've enjoyed this very random and only-partially-revealing journey.

8 x 5 Golden Interference Acrylics and Copic multiliner SP on Cotman's 200 lb watercolor.

The local Art Media had Golden brand interference acrylics on sale 40% off. I've been wanting to play with them. It's going to take a little work to figure how to use them to advantage.

This building fascinates me. It has so many pipes all over it and I love the shadows cast by the air con vents. Donew from a photo. It only gets the sun on rare occasions.
