Each student at my first Zentangle Basics workshop receives a small gift - the initial of their first name, filled with tangles. The small tags/cards these are drawn on are 41mm (1 5/8") wide x 78mm (3 1/8") high. I drew them with Sakura pigma micron 005, Copic multiliner 003, Prismacolor watersoluble graphite HB. First workshop: 14th November, 2010.

It was my last working day today - yippee! Had a nice glass of Cinsault (rosé from Languedoc-Roussillon) in a street café while finishing a page in one of my bigger Daler&Rowney sketchbooks. Fittingly, the pen was a Copic Multiliner in - Wine!

The Seed of Life is a primary building block of the Flower of Life, from which comes forth the Fruit of Life. Another blueprint for everything, the Fruit of Life creates all elements, molecules, organisms, and even everything else in the universe. In other words, everything that abides in reality comes from the form of the Seed of Life.

I watched a new show in TV, The Biggest Loser. It's a diet camp and the winner will be the one who lost the most weight.

While watching it i ate a whole bar of chocolate and felt a little bit weird.

Exploring a couple of things today... point-of-view and also how I think about composition. Be bold. Be assertive. See things differently. (This is where photography helps, I think.)

Trying to be more refined and assertive.... less "sketchy".... if that makes sense.

I tried a new pen today and it bled when I added water... so-o-o-o-o back to the trusty multiliner. Luv the multiliner. It is TRULY waterproof... unlike the uniball p.o.s. I bought and returned.

10" x 14" Multiliner SP on Tyvek.

I couldn't quite fit the entire picture on my scanner. This is destined to become an origami wallet to hold my tangle pattern cards. Wish me luck in my folding!

The Tyvek takes a surprisingly crisp line with no smearing (permanent pens only--I'd try one before using). I did get a very light ink stain on my hand on moving across the page. I suspect the drawing will fade with wear. I'll let you all know!

ZIG Millennium multiliners .1mm, .2mm, .7mm on cropped A6 photo paper... (aprox. 4 inches tall)

I'm working on an Art journal of Blythe Doll illustrations and concept designs. Copic Multiliners and Copic Markers.

The cranes on Cockatoo Island all have distinct personalities. I love to draw them for the challenge of getting their proportions right. I drew one in pen & watercolour on each page. Then I drew the rest with a Dark Wash pencil and put them wherever they'd fit on the page. Then I put in a generic background of the harbour foreshore you can see from the island.

Just only for sharing. Made this card for the Moxie Fab World 'Clean and Graphic Challenge'.

This was my first entry to there and also my first use of this Poppy Background stamp. Enjoyed creating! :)

And, very kind lady, Anita told me HA's August theme. So I'd like to join the HA monthly contest Round 1.

*I removed the three stems - filled in it with Copic multiliners - from the original stamp image for this card.

*The black color for this background was also filled with the multiliner.

Stamp used:

Hero Arts Cling Poppy Background / CG140

Hero Arts Poly Clear Say Hello / CL378

I had not pick up my colored pencil to do more than a sketches and the past few years. When I found your site and the contests, so I wanted to give it a shot.

I wanted to do a bit more than a still life. To add more interest the photo reference, I framed the reference with cut outs of leaf silhouettes and added a foreground mat of paper bag texture.

* Scanned a bit on the dark side.
