I was planning on drawing something more elaborate that I'd made but I didn't get time till I was already in bed at night, so I though to draw the necklace that I'd been wearing all day. It will be the same tonight - I won't be home till 7pm then after dinner I'll get comfy and draw.
Zentangle drawn on inexpensive lime green colored cardstock with Copic multiliners. Areas of the cardstock were bleached light. Other areas were colored with blue and green gel pens.

At WS show this weekend, I purchased this stamp from the Heartfelt Creations booth.... yes, it is one stamp! I colored with Copics, distressed, popped some images up and went over the main sentiment with multiliner....

We had lunch in Hyde Park in the heart of Sydney, then found some seats under a tree and I drew the fountain while Liz drew St Mary's Cathedral. I was running out of Peerless greens, so I had to beef up the dark greens when I got home.
This was drawn with my new Copic Multiliner (black - 0.5). I really like this pen. You can replace both the nib and the ink.
Oh yes, not sure why I'm not writing anything with these sketches. I think because I just started with the pen, zoomed in and didn't leave room. I don't mind as long as there's no white space.
191202: When I posted my cheesecake picture, @mel_lettering asked me if I had used Van Gogh's dusk colors. Nope, I did not used them. But that was a nice opportunity to get those colors and try them out. I have not regretted it, the colors have great effects.

6/8/12 Heading toward the zoo on a sunny Friday afternoon, the top down on my Miata, I suddenly remembered that it was June, and that meant the Phinney Farmer’s Market was now open. I was having so much fun that I hardly noticed how dark the sky was growing until the shadows I was planning to paint disappeared. A woman watching me sketch smiled and said, “You’d better hurry and finish painting before it rains,” pointing to the dark clouds. I made a few quick purchases, still holding my sketchbook open to dry, and got the top up on my car just before the drops started to fall. (Copic Multiliner SP pen, watercolor)

This bottle is nearly finished. I just put some on and it's in the fizzy vodka and orange stage. In half an hour will I be smelling like a freshly laundered t shirt? Oh Copic Multiliner and Prismacolours.

These two drawings continue over a four-page spread. I wanted something simpler to go with my Autumn statue. This shrine reminds me so much of Bali.

30 Days ~ Day One: 30 Days ~ Day One: I'm taking 30 Days in Your Journal with Julie of Balzer Designs (link: balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/online-classes.html) and I'm really enjoying the concept of quick and dirty spreads in under ten minutes with each spread spanning a number of days. I have adapted her process so that when firstI sit down to create the first few layers, I take my time.
Supplies used: Derwent Inktense, Golden fluid acrylics, Steward Gill paint, Copic multiliner and collage element by Tangie McMeen Baxter. I am loving it.

Ugh - fashion breakdown. I had both blue jeans and a denim jacket. It was raining when I left home and I knew it was supposed to be warm & that we were sitting on a deck all day. I thought what if they've got it wrong and it's cold. My denim jacket is actually wool, so I popped it on at the last minute instead of a rain jacket..
The red lines are almost a representation of a broken line of fate, the red string shared by two people. Idk it made sense in my head.

Zentangle drawn on colored cardstock with Copic multiliners. Some areas then bleached white. Then some areas colored with lime and turquoise sharpies. Highlights in opaque white gel pen. January 2012
I tend to do these cards in batches. I sent the first four to my partners, but this is one I kept for myself. I now have a set of twelve different colors displayed in a shadowbox in my living room.

I used a Copic Multiliner Pen .8 to outline the girl, .3 to outline the cards and necklace. Forgot to color the backs of the cards before I scanned! I am using Shinhan Touch Twin markers for shading, a white Uni-Ball Signo pen for highlights, and .3 multiliner pen for eyelashes.

From a sneaky photograph I took of a dear friend of mine on my first day in London. He doesn’t seem to mind.
