200128: I went to the orthopedic surgeon to rule out that a ligament had broken. He gave me the all-clear and said it was irritation of the joint capsule that would go away on its own. I was reassured, especially since a running colleague of mine has been suffering from a cruciate ligament tear for several months. I was able to run again a week after the fat dog encountered my knee. "Humpelmania" means "Hobblemania" and is a coinage from Robert.

200128: Um auszuschließen, dass ein Band gerissen ist, war ich beim Orthopäden. Er gab mir Entwarnung und meinte, es handele sich um eine Reizung der Gelenkkapsel, die von alleine wegginge. Ich war beruhigt, zumal ein Laufkollege von mir sich seit einigen Monaten mit einem Kreuzbandriss plagt. Ich konnte schon eine Woche nach der Begegnung des dicken Hundes mit meinem Knie wieder laufen.

200105: I completely forgot to post the double page of the last free weekend of the Christmas vacation.
Left side: I pointed out to Robert that he needs a new scouring sponge. He answered "You tell me that every year!"
Right side: At the end we took a walk in Schilksee and ate a fish roll at the beach kiosk "Goldfish". Btw. I had imagined it easier to paint a footprint in the sand.

200105: Ich habe ganz vergessen, die Doppelseite von dem letzen freien Wochenende der Weihnachtsferien zu posten.
Linke Seite: Ich machte Robert darauf aufmerksam, dass er einen neuen Spülschwamm braucht. Daraufhin sagte er: "Das sagst Du jedes Jahr."
Rechte Seite: Wir haben zum Abschluss einen Spaziergang in Schilksee gemacht und ein Fischbrötchen beim Goldfisch gegessen. Ich hatte es mir übrigens leichter vorgestellt, einen Fußabdruck im Sand zu malen.

These birds are often on a tree across the back lane from my kitchen. There are a lot of them on this tall umbrella-plant type of tree with long red spikes of seeds. They make such a RACKET.

30 Days ~ Day One: 30 Days ~ Day One: I'm taking 30 Days in Your Journal with Julie of Balzer Designs (link: balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/online-classes.html) and I'm really enjoying the concept of quick and dirty spreads in under ten minutes with each spread spanning a number of days. I have adapted her process so that when firstI sit down to create the first few layers, I take my time.
Supplies used: Derwent Inktense, Golden fluid acrylics, Steward Gill paint, Copic multiliner and collage element by Tangie McMeen Baxter. I am loving it.

This was my first attempt at colouring using alcohol brush markers and I am not that good at staying in the lines (yet!) I also found the paper and smoothness of the copic multiliner 0.05mm very tough (evidenced in the combination of printeps and spoolies in my first tangle layer). Pen was sliding all over the place and I felt I had very little control. I also used a Staedtler triplus 0.3mm liner and coloured the image with Mepxy Markers and Staedtler Triplus 0.3mm liners. Tangles used are Keeko, Tipple, Shattuck, Printeps, Leaflet by Helen Williams, Pixioze by Margaret Bremner and Spoolies by Hanny Waldburger.
This is one of two pieces I drew for my composite zentangle grouping.

200124: @thorstenkleier had an appointment with @king.barber.official and we met in the barbershop. We talked a lot, Thorsten got a chic new hairstyle, King Barber gave us a private concert, we went shopping at Hugo Hamann and had coffee together. A perfect afternoon!
P.S. The Moleskine paper has changed a bit. In combination with plenty of water, it dries unevenly with lots of small, crumbly spots.

200124: Thorsten hatte einen Termin bei King Barber, und wir trafen uns dort. Wir haben viel gequatscht, Thorsten bekam eine schicke neue Frisur, es gab ein Privatkonzert von King Barber, wir waren shoppen bei Hugo Hamann und tranken zusammen Kaffee. Ein perfekter Nachmittag!
P.S. Das Moleskine-Papier hat sich etwas geändert. In Verbindung mit viel Wasser trockenen es ungleichmäßig mit lauter kleinen krümelig wirkenden Flecken.
