I love drawing in the succulent garden. Early in December all the flowers were blooming in there. They all went quickly due to all the rain. I am going to add some writing and collage later, when the book is complete and I can stretch it out in a semi-concertina (it's an ox-plough book) and see what it needs.
This is one of two pieces I drew for my composite zentangle grouping.
Copic multiliners, watercolor pencils, distress reinkers, graphite, white gel pen on Bristol.

Note:...I'm becoming a bit obsessive compulsive with this Copic MultiLiner 0.03 and it's ridiculously fine lines....more so than usual. No seriously...click through on the picture to see it enlarged as much as you can...I am drawing thread thin here!
200124: @thorstenkleier had an appointment with @king.barber.official and we met in the barbershop. We talked a lot, Thorsten got a chic new hairstyle, King Barber gave us a private concert, we went shopping at Hugo Hamann and had coffee together. A perfect afternoon!
P.S. The Moleskine paper has changed a bit. In combination with plenty of water, it dries unevenly with lots of small, crumbly spots.

200124: Thorsten hatte einen Termin bei King Barber, und wir trafen uns dort. Wir haben viel gequatscht, Thorsten bekam eine schicke neue Frisur, es gab ein Privatkonzert von King Barber, wir waren shoppen bei Hugo Hamann und tranken zusammen Kaffee. Ein perfekter Nachmittag!
P.S. Das Moleskine-Papier hat sich etwas geändert. In Verbindung mit viel Wasser trockenen es ungleichmäßig mit lauter kleinen krümelig wirkenden Flecken.

Summer Card Camp 2 Week 2 Day 3. My inspiration for this card came from Julie's super cute bird card. It is based on the third sketch. The border is hand drawn using a brown Copic Multiliner. The scattered stamped circles were made with lids from a tape runner and a Copic multiliner. The dots were stamped with the tip of a paint brush. They were all made using Ranger Archival Ink in sepia. The little bird and the wreath were die cut using Memory Box wafer thin dies. I added tiny flowers cut with the Memory Box flower mound. The blue background was a piece of watercolour paper that I created using Distress Inks. The card base is made from Stampin' Up Natural White cardstock.

Note: My friend (who went home today) named the grey squirrel Miss Madge Twitch. She is a very prim and proper squirrel who avoids the crazy antics engaged in by the small army of black squirrels in the yard. :3
The stay-cation with my friend and the quick doodles for maintaining of the project is over so it's time to focus and get back to the drawing board!
Drawn with copic multiliners onto inexpensive light blue cardstock. Some areas bleached light. Some areas colored with dark blue and lime green gel pens and highlighted with opaque white gel pen.

Today's challenge is 'my favourite tool.' This is my favourite memory stick, because it has the long cord to wear around my neck. So I don't leave it in a computer somewhere and lose it. It is so old that it cost me $85. Seems bizarre now.

6/3/12 I'm not sure if it's OK to post sketches of locations outside of Seattle, but I'll take a chance. I was in L.A. over the weekend and visited the fabulous Getty Museum. An architect's dream-come-true! Too bad I'm not one. ;-) But I had fun sketching there anyway. (Copic Multiliner SP pen, watercolor)
