I had some ceramic tile samples lying around, picked one, and Joe and Don made a trip to HD to return slate and scout out my mysterious sample.

A friend of mine was starting a home organizing business. She was using my mudroom as a sample for her portfolio. Lucky me!

One week in - mudroom and pantry

Toilet in mudroom/laundry room/bathroom. Best we can figure is that houses back then only had one bedroom and that is why this is this way. It really doesn't look bad though.

Since he redid the supports for the mudroom, it has begun pulling away from the house. The gap continues beneath the mudroom.

This little flower box is alwys evovling and in hopes of not having to transplant for awhile, I put these here.

Vanity cabinets in the foregraound and tall mudroom lockers.

Nothing fancy, but every house should have one

This will become the library. Unfortunately, the washer/dryer hookup is here, so it will be a library/laundry room. The windows face the back yard, and there's a back door next to the window.

(and a place to keep pepper plants and guitars so they don't freeze)

the shelf is sized to hold these two baskets that I already had. We keep dog paraphernalia and flashlights in them.

We cleaned up the mudroom and put this dresser in there to store stuff. Pluto started sleeping on top of it to catch the sun through the window so I thought I'd move his basket up from the basement to here. He seems to agree that that was a marvellous idea.
