A scone, ginger beer, and spicy curried carrot soup.

This is my mud room--yes, lots of mud in Oregon--taken from the doorway to the rest of the apartment . Also unfinished. Eventually will have built in shelves and bench and coat rack. My bathroom is through that sliding door on the right.

our mudroom window on a steamy morning

If you go past the box monster, there is this extended mudroom space (there is more mudroom behind me, as I am taking this photo). So much cool storage space.

The Mud Room is located in what was the entryway of a building.

ground floor bath from mudroom

Downstairs mudroom, leading out into the beautifully landscaped back garden.

Feels almost like a house again. Certain discoveries in the sub floor mean that a full redo of the floors is in store for Mudroom Part 2.

shot in studio, using a softbox to emulate window light

this is where we once had the washer and dryer. it's in the back of the house but everyone comes in through there and i just hated it. plus it wasn't a workable space for that.

all six on the left will have doors on the bottom but i wanted to show what was going to be behind them.

anyone have any ideas or opinions that they'd like to add from their experiences or preferences, i'm open to all ideas!

outside - I changed the stars

Two coats of grout sealer should help it withstand a few years of abuse.

Leads from the mudroom into the family room at my mother's house. The stars are a great touch, especially since the only one who ever sees the room is my cat
