We've installed some industrial flooring into the washer/dryer nook as a short term solution. Long term we'll replace the mudroom and kitchen floors entirely.

These murals were the start of what would be a short lived exploration in self employment. Maybe I will try being a muralist again someday.

Found this one today while cleaning.

 

Here it is outside after being carefully moved...no idea what kind. Doesn't seem to fit the wolf spider group. The odd-looking front legs seem significant.

front porch/mudroom. used to be open when we she bought it. grandpa and I closed it in and we dropped a washer/dryer in.

A view from the dining room after the wall was removed to the kitchen. View to the mudroom and a bit of the desk area in breakfast nook. The former kitchen door to enter the house was just to the left of that large opening...now it will house a big spice rack.
