This mosquito was obtained from a wrl file and made into a phantogram by superimposing it on a pic of lily pads.
If you have a tilt screen, tilt it back to nearly horizontal and see the mosquito sitting on your screen.
I have no idea what particular species of mosquito this is. And if my memory serves me right, they should be classified under diptera. Nonetheless, this picture cost me a lot of bites just to shoot this little fella. Only one wish would be that the leaf would be more consistent.

Here are the three chicks again having a hodge podge of bugs delivered by one of the parents. It appears to be a ball of mosquitos.
It's interesting to watch these birds eat as voraciously as they do, but then again they will be migrating to South America soon.
