50034 Furious at Green Lane, Coventry @0911 Sat 9-7-83.
This has been an interesting one to research. The only information regarding location was Green Lane. I had ruled out all the other single lines that a 50 was likely to run on so ended up with somewhere on the Leamington, Kenilworth and Coventry line.
If I have got this wrong then please correct me.
At the area around Green Lane in Coventry is a larger recreation area and I assume also a footpath. Around here the line also moves from double to single.

This is the second image in a Layered Series that I will be posting. All will be the same subject-- the early morning Kettle Moraine Forest, captured from atop the Parnell Tower. But there will be a considerable difference in the appearance of the images due to my changes in post-processing.
The final outcome of the same image can be dramatically different depending on the 'developing' or processing workflow. I thought it would be fun to show these variances in this series... Hope you enjoy!

The early morning sun burning through the mist gives this Great Egret a warm glow. Rembrandt is my favorite painter with his treatment of light and shadows and I have tried to apply his techniques to photography when ever I can. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I think this time it worked. Have a great weekend.

This morning I drove to work with a beautiful sunrise reflecting off the edge of this cloud bank to the West. Out of nowhere, a rainbow dropped from the cloud bank and continued to intensify as the sun rose in the East. Truly a magnificent sight, I had to stop and compose a couple of shots. Hope you enjoy this light show.

One of the three most influential visual arts of my childhood, Edward Hopper’s Early Sunday Morning first came into my life around first grade when a print was placed on the cover of a Bronx phonebook. Phonebooks were an annual event back then but from when the new phone book arrived until my late teens, a cut out would hang beside my bed along with W. Eugene Smith's The Walk to Paradise Garden and Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
I can still remember being a small boy who was fascinated by my few visits to Manhattan and most of them were to relatives in Hell’s Kitchen. At the time I had no idea that this view could be any city in the U.S. Unaware of city dynamics and the fact that the painting was made twenty-six years before I was born, I naturally assumed that the paint dried the day before delivery men placed one phone book in front of each apartment in Bronx building where I lived. I assumed it was a place I could find.
I would spend hours staring at that phone book print trying to figure out what the blurry typography in those windows represented. Figure it out so I could someday find this exact spot, perhaps even sit on the other side of the glass for a haircut in the barber’s chair. I would make it my mission to go to the actual spot where Edward Hopper once stood with his easel.
I even did a little detective work. The word Manhattanhenge was not one I’d heard and probably didn’t exist yet, but I already knew which way the sun rose on the Manhattan grid and the shadows offered a clue. Because I assumed all of the narrower one way streets were brownstones from corner to corner, I was certain that it was either West 23rd Street or West 14th Street. My Mother can still recall that when we were in Manhattan in the old 58 Ford I would beg to take 14th or 23rd to or from the West Side Highway.
It turns out that a little art can go a long way. Spark a little imagination, build a little mystery and leave a lasting impression. I never did find that exact spot but a few years later, when I found out the actual painting could be seen on Madison Avenue and East 75th street I became a museum goer. I never did find the actual location but I still love staring into those windows.

Today is my birthday. Woo hoo. :) Kind of a dreary day here so far, hoping the sun will come out at some point. Here's a morning glory shot from another dreary day last week.
