ODC - Moody Blues Song "Mom & OM"

I`ve been thinking about our fortune

And I`ve decided that we`re really not to blame

For the love that`s deep inside us now

Is still the same

please don´t touch

With this photo, I did a small amount of cropping, cloned out half a seagull which was in exactly the wrong place and then went a bit wild while tweaking the colours. Other than that, it looked pretty much like this!

The Burnham on Sea Lighthouse, Somerset, England.

Ispired by the Moody Blues, the JM-480 Xennon is tear drop shaped and is a favorite sports bike of the residence of Pelagia City on Aquis. The bike it self is quiet and stealthy, but has a HD radio with a stereo system installed. A interstellar radio is optional. Music can be heard from the bikes speakers, or through a wireless helmet with noise cancellation. It's also comfortable, reliable, water proof, and is often used for island hopping. With a top speed of 400 MPH, the bike can easily travel between Pelagia City and the nearest floating city of Waterford in less than 1 hour, far quicker than any boat.

The marine odyssey continues as we catch colours with string on sticks and "go fishing" for the rarest of deep sea creatures. We catch the odd glimpse of them under the waves.

Will they take the bait?

Enjoying "Fly me high" from The Moody Blues

Project 365

Monday • October 25, 2010

I wondered around the back yard enjoying the crisp, early morning air. The sun was so intense, blinding me and blurring my vision … and when I turned my back on it … my eyes beheld the wonderful shadow play unfolding before me; dancing across the back wall of my home!

Moody Blues — Shadows on the Wall

~

I apologize for multiple posts today ... trying to get caught up on my 365!

Long Distance Voyager 221138 passes from Somerset into Wiltshire as it approaches Masters crossing with (diverted due to flooding on the Somerset Levels) XC service 1S45 09.23 Exeter St Davids to Aberdeen, I wonder how many of the passengers are on board for the entire (nearly) 12 hour trip.

Aberdeen is Scotland's third largest city by population, it is known as the Granite city which is coincidental as that is the same material used for the seating on XC Voyager units.

Everything is blooming from the few really warms days we had. I hope they will survive the rest of the cold days.

Happy Sunday!!

All time favourite lyrics, from Nights in White Satin, written and composed by Justin Hayward.

From the original album Days of Future Passed by The Moody Blues in 1967.

Our Daily Challenge ... moody blues.

Nights in white satin

Never reaching the end

Letters I've written

Never meaning to send.

..

Some try to tell me

Thoughts they can not defend

Just what you want to be

You will be in the End.

'Coz I love you!

Nights in white satin

Never reaching the end

Letters I’ve written

Never meaning to send

Beauty I’d always missed

With these eyes before

Just what the truth is

I can’t say any more

‘Cause I love you

Yes I love you

Oh how I love you ....

Take another sip my love and see what you will see,

A fleet of golden galleons, on a crystal sea.

Are you sitting comfortably?

Let Merlin cast his spell.

Ride along the winds of time and see where we have been,

The glorious age of Camelot, when Guinevere was Queen.

It all unfolds before your eyes

As Merlin casts his spell.

The seven wonders of the world he'll lay before your feet,

In far-off lands, on distant shores, so many friends to meet.

Are you sitting comfortably?

Let Merlin cast his spell.

sky Easter Sunday evening with what looks like rain over Saint-Gingolph. There was a special light yesterday and I took far too many photos against the grey clouds (will post them slowly).

A winter scene in Redruth, Cornwall, as the sun is caught behind the silhouette of a forest of bare trees.

See where this picture was taken. [?]

"Cold hearted orb that rules the night,

Removes the colours from our sight.

Red is grey and yellow white.

But we decide which is right.

And which is an illusion?" ~ Moody Blues

... New mother picks up and suckles her son

Senior citizens wish they were young ....

Something there outside

Says we're only

In the hands of time

Falling slowly

It's there for us to know

With love that we can go

Burn slowly the candle of life

Another early morning moonset from our holiday in the Peak District.

This one was taken an hour earlier than the other moonset at 04:30 hrs before the sun had lightened the sky and was higher in the night sky.

Much more dramatic clouds and a far brighter moon.

I had to wait a while for the cloud to just take the brightness of the moon down a bit otherwise it was just too bright as I wanted the other colours as well in the image.

This scene reminded me of the Moody Blues track "The Day Begins" from the album "Days of Future Passed" -

"Cold hearted orb that rules the night

Removes the colours from our sight

Red is gray and yellow, white

But we decide which is right

And which is an illusion

Pinprick holes in a colourless sky

Let insipid figures of light pass by

The mighty light of ten thousand suns

Challenges infinity and is soon gone

Night time, to some a brief interlude

To others the fear of solitude

Brave Helios, wake up your steeds

Bring the warmth the countryside needs"

Alisonashton also linked this image to a poem by Walter de la Mare which seems very relevant to this image as well. Many thanks Alison - the words in this poem are simply stunning.

Silver

"Slowly, silently, now the moon

Walks the night in her silver shoon;

This way, and that, she peers, and sees

Silver fruit upon silver trees;

One by one the casements catch

Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;

Couched in his kennel, like a log,

With paws of silver sleeps the dog;

From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep

Of doves in silver feathered sleep

A harvest mouse goes scampering by,

With silver claws, and silver eye;

And moveless fish in the water gleam,

By silver reeds in a silver stream."

and of course, I must add some Moody Blues, if you would like to listen....

Taken just as the sun was shining through the trees. I love how the little sun-flare just touches the rim of the glass.

The link is of Leann Rhimes singing Blue. This song was originally written for Patsy Cline (one of my faves) but Patsy died in a plane crash before she had a chance to record it. So happy Leann recorded it, she does it justice!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=GozdIQx1Wow

It's not still afternoon, but it is still Tuesday:-) Jim was teaching me how to combine two videos and then add music........many thanks to Jim for his patience!

The music is Tuesday Afternoon, by the Moody Blues. Rumor has it that Justin Hayward was inspired to write this song while out walking with his dog, who was named Tuesday after the actress Tuesday Weld. Makes a great story, true or not:-))

a reprise of Why is the sky blue? - I've enjoyed the discussion around that question a lot.

Taken in front of my house, after I finished the restoration of my find on craigslist of a collectable GT Tequesta mountain bike.

A bit too large for me, but it turned out excellent.

Car in the background. It spent the winter undergoing an overhaul. New radiator, water pump timing belts, front rotors, new CV boots, new clutch and fluids. Dropping the transmission and disassembling the CV joints were super tough.

I really am such a hands-on geek!!
