Ice cold gin in a frosted glass makes a smooth Martini

Like the SUN through the trees you came to love me

Like a leaf on the breeze you blew away

Through Autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way

You always loved this time of year

Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now

Cause you're not here (x3)

(Instrumental break)

Another glorious winter sunset in February on the Saanich farm. This time we get the colour blue with the added element of misty fog to set the mood.

Vancouver Island’s seasonal rainy weather in winter transforms what once was a farm field into waterfront, bringing with it glorious sunsets with awesome reflections.

Whilst in Florida there were 2 TOP things i will always remember - Mickey Mouse and these birds:))

ps for your information Ray Thomas vocals and flute in the Moody Blues - his father came from around our village.

Our camera group went down to the wharf last night to take night shots. Lucky it was last night as it is raining tonight. The two on the left are the results of that and the other two are just from my library of shots with the top right a sunrise in Port Lincoln. I thought they covered the theme "Moody Blues"

This looks almost like a white Magnolia flower. But it's actually a little Double Flowering Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis 'Multiplex'). They grow low-to-the-ground in the early Spring in rocky and moist, rich soil areas near the woodland edges. And, amazingly, they're native to Eastern North America.

Treescape at Holwell Lawn.

I just had to go and have a look at the vast open moorland bluebell display after seeing lots of photos.

It was a spectacular sight this year. Due to a mean looking sky I was able to capture the "Moody Blues"

Moody Blue -- Elvis Presley

Six months after "Moody Blue" topped the chart, Presley was dead.

Wonderful song ( album MOODY BLUE ) , for

all Elvis fans

Location -- Bristol

Have had a bit of rain over the last few days, so the sunsets have been very non-red/yellow/orange, and lots of blue blue blue!

Ispired by the Moody Blues, the JM-480 Xennon is tear drop shaped and is a favorite sports bike of the residence of Pelagia City on Aquis. The bike it self is quiet and stealthy, but has a HD radio with a stereo system installed. A interstellar radio is optional. Music can be heard from the bikes speakers, or through a wireless helmet with noise cancellation. It's also comfortable, reliable, water proof, and is often used for island hopping. With a top speed of 400 MPH, the bike can easily travel between Pelagia City and the nearest floating city of Waterford in less than 1 hour, far quicker than any boat.

"Evening: The Sunset" ~ Moody Blues

When the sun goes down,

And the clouds all frown,

Night has begun for the sunset.

See it with your eyes;

Earth re-energized

By the sun's rays every day.

Take a look out there,

Planets everywhere.

When the sun goes down,

And the clouds all frown,

Night has begun for the sunset.

Shadows on the ground;

Never make a sound,

Fading away in the sunset.

Night has now become

Day for everyone.

I can see it all

From this great height.

I can feel the sun

Slipping out of sight;

And the world still goes on

Through the night.

Peter Goldthorpe "Inside the Snowdome" (right)

Oil on linen.

Joshua Andree "Storm Bay (Brought to you by)" (left)

Oil on canvas

122 x 153 cms

These two blue paintings each tell a moody story. Peter Goldthorpe has just been announced the 2021 Glover Prize People's Choice winner, based on a popular vote. www.examiner.com.au/story/7166345/tasmanian-artists-win-b...

Peter's work is a view of Cradle Mountain from the western side (one not often seen in photographs):

"On this day I was enjoying the wild nip of winter and the tracery of snow on the plants but disappointed not to be seeing anything beyond fifty metres. With the easing of the wind, came an opening of the scene, before it was swallowed once more by blizzard."

Joshua's work is of the iconic Storm Bay in southern Tasmania. Part of this is used for salmon farming and is an essential part of Tasmania's relatively small economy. Joshua writes:

"The Atlantic salmon industry in Tasmania is worth an estimated 497 million dollars annually. 497 million is the dollar value that is placed upon the purchase of an ageless landscape. It would be easy to paint a nice landscape of Storm Bay with pretty blue sky and puffy clouds reflected in calm waters. But it's not that. It's a complex environment with rich cultural and social history. Further, it is inherently scarred by the presence of pens that just don't belong. An eloquent allegory for the presence in the landscape of those and their ancestors who impart them."

"Evening Time To Get Away"

~ Moody Blues

Evening has come to pass

The time of day doesn't last

Evening has earned its place today

I'm tired of working away

Working, living it brings

Only way to have those things

Toiling has bought too many tears

Turn round all those past years

Evening time to get away

Till next day

Live all you people

You can see where you're at

It doesn't really hurt you

So that can't be bad

Live all you people

You can see where you're at

It doesn't really hurt you

So that can't be bad

Evening time to get away...

I often hum this song when I am walking here, not out loud, because I don't want to scare the birds....... You can better hear The Moody Blues performing it, listen: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO3IG-oRpis

The sun is gone on this one. The sea was beautiful and there's this pool, filled with fresh sea water everytime tide rises. There is a small village of very white houses on the cliff. I will publish those next. For now, just enjoy my blues.

Today we laid out a canvas sheet in a circle of grass, hidden in the bushes. We "walked through the jungle" to find a "secret pool of water" that the children could paint on. We experimented with rollers and different sized brushes. There was a lot of interest in smearing the mix of cool colours and making lines and dotted brush marks. Then one little boy began to talk about a family of fish who were hiding from a shark. Where was the shark? Well, there, in the water, of course, he pointed with his brush.

Gazing at people

Some hand in hand

Just what I’m going through

They can’t understand

Some try to tell me

Thoughts they cannot defend

Just what you want to be

You will be in the end

And I love you

Yes I love you

Oh how I love you ....

Nights in white satin

Never reaching the end

Letters I’ve written

Never meaning to send

Beauty I’d always missed

With these eyes before

Just what the truth is

I can’t say any more

‘Cause I love you

Yes I love you

Oh how I love you ....

Twilight time to dream awhile,

In veils of deepening blue.

As fantasy strides, over colorful skies,

Of form disappearing from view.

In twilight time, dream with me awhile.

- Ray Thomas (Moody Blues)

As a SciFi lover this image was fun to make. Mixing her pink outfit with black and some mint tones gave the picture a nice vibrant look. And what do you think about the pug I made with the astronaut gear? I guess that's almost my favorite part of it. 👽
