The beautiful Sydney Opera House on a peaceful night and a gorgeous glowing moon with Venus slightly under to the right. The lights upon the Opera House and the bright moon have given a beautiful glow to the harbor and a lovely blue hue to the sky and the water with the moon and light reflections illuminating the harbor.
The Sydney Opera House was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 28 June 2007. It is one of the 20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts centers in the world.
The Sydney Opera House is on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It sits at the north-eastern tip of the Sydney central business district (the CBD), surrounded on three sides by the harbour (Sydney Cove and Farm Cove) and inland by the Royal Botanic Gardens.
My sister and I was out yesterday with our cameras. Took this shot from a bridge Over troubled muddy waters 😜. and some naked trees. but I think it still made a decent subject for a photo.

In my crazy mind the foreground blossom is a singer in a rock band. The bud is the microphone. Drummer and bass player in the background. Update: Thanks to Didi my illusions about this being a lovely lady have been shattered ;-) This is actually a spotted cucumber beetle. They attack some delicious plants I love and cause some havoc. So not so lovely after all. Read more here for example:

In discovery mode going from d40 to d300... I am learning how to use the focus options and coordinate my two hands.. not as easy as it seems.. I am posting nonetheless as it comes together... The D40 was surprisingly more docile in many ways..yet felt limited in what you could compose.. interesting.. :-)
And ah,,, yes Bangkok in it's moody blues suit... Imagine .. Naw guess if your here seeing this.. you go nostalgic .. and go back in your thoughts for what once was in another time and place.. :-)

My own Mom, Nina Black, loved this mountain and never tired of looking at Mount Hood or Mount Adams in all their changing moods and hats. She and Dad instilled that love in their children over the years.
