In this shot we have a very moody and overcast shot featuring Emirates Airlines A380-800 in the Green expo livery throwing up all the moisture off runway 23R at Manchester Airport as it takes off.
That is simply what came to mind seeing this image come to life on my camera... and this song "Tuesday Afternoon"
Days gone by!
Happy Mother's Day to every mother and surrogate mother and single father who doubles as mother out there!~
My own Mom, Nina Black, loved this mountain and never tired of looking at Mount Hood or Mount Adams in all their changing moods and hats. She and Dad instilled that love in their children over the years.

I found an epic location that doesn't appear to be well photographed. The rock formations were easily accessible and went on for several hundred meters. There were waterfalls coming off the rocks in all directions and even a couple of mini rivers running through to huge rock pools. All within an hour of Melbourne CBD. This was taken in mid afternoon so not ideal time, i will come here again and try and do the place justice.
The Sun was shinning and within a minute of taking this shot I at to put my Umbrella up it was pouring down with rain ;-(
I hoped to try out some long exposures, with a filter, at Irvine Beach today, but it was a bit too bright to get the length of exposure I wanted, and I was hoping for bigger waves :D. I also need something else in this image, so I'll need to go back and try again. This is a view across the Firth of Clyde, with Ailsa Craig only just visible on the horizon in the middle of the image, and part of Arran (I think) on the right. I decided to convert to black and white because I felt it gave a little more interest.
I realize that the title "Moody morning" makes it sound as if I were in a bad mood. But that was not the case at all. My daughter and I were just visiting this beach to see if it would be a good place to enjoy the sunrise. The sky, however, looked quite moody...
Grumman FM-2 Wildcat "That Old Thing" takes to a typically moody Duxford sky during Sundays Flying Legends Show.
Missed sunrise by an hour!
Thankfully the sun was still low enough to cast some lovely shadows on the "Banjo Pier".
With lots of movement in the cloud I went for the little stopper again to lengthen the exposure to 109 seconds.
It was a dark and moody morning with rain, fog, and unseasonable warmth. Candlelight, a fresh cup of coffee, and quiet music made it feel cozy.
When you get up at 6am on a da rainy day in New York, it's hard to resist taking some shots of the moody atmosphere engulfing this amazing city. Here one can see the early morning traffic driving under the Brooklyn Bridge from the Financial District.
So this is another shot for lake lucerne. This time I toke advantage of the cloudy weather and the boat lights to create a moody shot of the lake.
Hope you like it!
My youngest often smiles, but I think I took one too many images of him this week in Abergavenny and cheesed him off, so he gave me this moody stare telling me to stop...
