“ Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark & dreary ”
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow-
Very fresh up on the hills last weekend , even had some light snowfall so glad I had taken an extra few layers . Still lovely views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray .
Some light painting on Owachomo Bridge while waiting to see if the clouds from sunset would move and clear to reveal more of the Milky Way. Liked the mood of the clouds here with Jupiter and Saturn showing up.
A view of Crook Hill, the Woodlands Valley and a cloud-capped Win Hill seen from Crookstone Out Moor.
Standing in a blustery hailstorm for an hour...trying to clean the lens as it cleared a little over Gower... and I thought photography was supposed to be fun!
During my day with my photographer friends I promised to take them to one of my favorite sunset locations and teach them some of the techniques I use to help with composition. The sunset was bland for the most part, but I taught them about patience, and preparing for the good light. While it never kicked off in ways the sunsets around here sometimes do, A moody sunset over these mountains can still look amazing. Something that you really only understand after the edit. While the trip was mostly for my friends, this is the composition I came home with.

Wondering whether this magnificent tree was lucky or unlucky with his place in the middle of the parking lot ...
GJK viewpoint yesterday in Cape Cod. March is a moody month, usually more similar to winter than spring in the Boston area. I find it to be a rather challenging time of the year to get good photos. Once we get to spring, it's different of course. Yesterday was rainy, windy and 65 degrees! (18 C).
The boardwalk here literally stretches on to infinity ;)
Moody clouds over the Letaba river, Kruger National Park, RSA.
