It was only in the upper 60’s and windy, which made for perfect weather for walking on the dunes at Kohler Andrae State Park. The sky was very moody!
Already had a bit of rain this morning and the weather seems a bit moody today. So we're into October and things should turn a bit moody to get everyone in the mood for all the Trick or Treaters that will be making the rounds.

Here's a moody shot of Fenghuang, China, on a foggy afternoon. This is just about the time I was getting exhausted from taking photos all day... I collapsed into a cafe and started to order lots of random Chinese food and snacks! I just pick random stuff and like to be surprised!
A Moody Morning
One from this morning up on the Kirkstone Pass near Troutbeck and the old ruin overlooking the Troutbeck Valley. I thought the weather was going to be better this morning but turned out to be drizzly rain with low cloud creating a wee bit of mood to the view.
I hadn't planned on walking through ferns and bushes which would explain my trousers were soaked:) a valley that I really need to explore more.

From an afternoon in the rain, and so it was damp and moody with the wind blowing and as the last few leaves clung to the trees the air was filled with the strong damp spicy scent of late Autumn.
This was taken at the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery as the sun was going down. This large cloud mass came in as I was taking pictures of the elephant seals and took away any light for shooting. As the cloud approached, a section of the cloud opened up and the light poured through. I was about to leave but decided to grab the tripod and capture this scene. The lack of sun left the picture with hardly any color so I chose to use black and white to show the moody sky and light rays. It was a nice way to end the shoot.

You can't beat a moody sky at sunset, with just the right amount of light coming through it's simply perfect in my eyes!
As I saw this unfolding a few nights ago I had to make a quick dash out to go and chase the light at the fisherman's bank at Mudeford! The tide was coming in and as the water rippled around the boats I knew exactly what I wanted to capture. It was quite tricky with my welly's getting stuck in the mud but so much fun!
