Overcast and moody sunrise from Putty Beach Headland in the Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia.
Took this panorama when I was behind the visitor center of Red Rock Canyon State Park near Vegas. This was my first time visit and we enjoyed a couple of short hikes.

The sun was trying hard to shine but the clouds weren't ready to part enough.

Revisiting my trip to ONP back in 2018 this week.
We had a trip to the east coast yesterday to find the desert wheatear that has been entertaining twitchers in Whitby for a while now. Having achieved our goal, albeit in poor light, we wandered down the coast to an old haunt where the sea was creating a moody atmosphere.
Pulled up the shadows on this one, meaning that there is more image noise than I'd like, but it's acceptable for this shot. The kingfisher gave me an interesting pose on an exposed perch during the rainstorm, giving a nice view of the cattails in the background.

A rework of a previous picture I took back in April 2013.
Some may remember the earlier version which had substantially less sky. After the hail, rain and wind kicked my ass on the slopes of the Devil's Staircase I managed to get 7 or 8 frames off before the sky returned to what you usually associate with Glencoe.
Some frames had less sky with more foreground, and some had less foreground with a big sky. This is one of the big sky frames which I've decided to process in the hope after nearly 2 years my processing has improved.

My last international trip before the pandemic. I was finally able to do this hike near Lake Wanaka on a stormy day, You can see part of the trail below in the middle of the frame. Got a little soaked on this one but so worth it :)
Cold, early morning at Wast Water. Waited while a very heavy snow shower passed and the strong winds blew in a few clear patches…. bracing.
