In 1915 a lighthouse was built in the lake as a memorial to Captain Robert Scott's tragic Antarctic expedition. The lighthouse has become one of the most beloved, iconic buildings in Cardiff. Within the striking white lighthouse is a scale model of Scott's ship, the Terra Nova.

50-80mm of rain may have dumped on/in my tent last night, but the moody morning views are worth it! lol
Taken near Karsdale, in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada.

Portrait of a blue macaw in the Moody Gardens (Galveston, TX) rainforest pyramid. They have free reign over the pyramid, but every time we have been they have been in this same spot.
I was 10 days in the beautiful area, Het Groene woud. Nice area with the largest sand drifting dune area of Europe. There are also marshes, lakes and beautiful forests. And.....with a few atmospheric days.
Thank you in advance for your interest and comments on my photos. That's much appreciated.

We were fortunate to see Maroon Bells with both autumn foliage and new snow this September, when the early morning precipitation cleared before midday.

Grey day here, so an Ansel-lite image felt right today.
A snowy stormy morning at Glacier's Two Medicine area.
Mt. Sinopah reflected in Pray Lake.

May your Tuesday be terrific!
The last shot I posted from here attracted a quite interesting comment of 'I would like to see it wider' , a curious one as it was shot at 16mm... so here you go... A wider shot than the last one, all 14mm of it from Warnscale Bothy showing a lot more of the srroundings, sky, and Haystacks ridge line, with less foreground, all thought welcomed I honestly don't don't which I prefer ?
As you can see the weather was providing a lot of drama in the scene here, showing exactly what the old bothy is used for, and what we had used it for until we got a break in the rain where it wasn't so heavy. The wet weather here really brings out the contrast in the landscape and the slate roof of the bothy especially.
Last week at Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes. A bit of a failed sunset, but some interesting light and a magical mood.

The day we visited the Upper Terrace, the weather conditions were much like previous days; cool, damp, and extremely overcast, so I decided to process this one in Color Efex Pro to give it a different look. Fun to experiment from time to time :-)
Have a fantastic Friday; and many thanks for all your visits & support!!!!

A very foggy morning with light mist before the rain started later. A view over the pond towards the creek on the back nine.
This is the 10th tee box, don't ask me how many golf balls I've donated to that naughty pond! :(

A stormy evening with the clouds literally passing between the buildings. The sun popped out between the clouds at sunset time which provided rich colors and an eerie look.
Hi Guys! I've not been here while I'm trying to get my business off the ground. I've had some progress and several snags. That's life. I've really missed you guys, and I love processing so I took a break from "business pushing" to process a photo. I've missed you guys. I really won't have much time at all until after the new year, at least. I plan to be pretty busy during the holiday season. So I wanted to say hello and let you know I'm always thinking of you guys.

During the 17th Century it was the seat of the Chiefs of Clan MacDonald of Sleat. Built between the 14th and 15th Centuries and occupied until 1732 when it was abandoned in favour of a new residence 5 miles to the south.
