The Mantled Howler (Alouatta palliata), or Golden-mantled Howling Monkey, is a species of howler monkey, a type of New World monkey, from Central and South America. It is one of the monkey species most often seen and heard in the wild in Central America. It takes its "mantled" name from the long guard hairs on its sides.

The mona monkey can be found on the island of Grenada as it was transported to the island aboard slave ships headed to the New World during the 18th century. They were imported primary for their meat.
Monkey's 7 month anniversary of her spinal cord injury. She's doing much better: runs...by bouncing around. She's completely happy to be able to do what she can.
