This wild monkey was roaming outside the Botanical Gardens. There were quite a few around and they are not that big, but when this cheeky one looked at me like that, I actually thought he was going to jump on me and maybe pull my hair off. Wouldn't have been the first time though!

Smaller monkey was stealing grass from the bigger monkey. A funny exchange then occurred, which looked like the older monkey chewing out the younger one and giving him a good talking to, and then the younger one appeared to give the older one a hug - perhaps a dad saying "show that you are grateful, you punk!"
I went hiking in Dakeng, near Taichung, Taiwan. We saw four monkeys just walking across the path and hanging out in the trees. It let me get close enough to touch it if I had the guts.
A baby Colobus monkey at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park who had to be undergo emergency treatment when less than 2 weeks old has been safely returned to his mother.
There are different types of Vervets Monkeys which vary in colour, but generally the body is greenish-olive or silver-gray. The face ,ears, hands, feet and the tip of the tail are black,but conspicuous white band on the forehead blends in with the short whiskers. The males are slightly larger than the females and are easily recognized by their blue scrota.
