The Common Squirrel Monkey is a small agile monkey. They have a body length of approximately 32 cms (12.5 inches), a tail length of approximately 41 cms (16 inches) and they weigh between 0.5 and 0.75 Kgs (1.1 - 1.7 lbs).
Their coat is short and grey/olive in colour, with their legs being coloured yellow/orange. They have a white face and a dark coloured muzzle. Their tail is long and they use it to balance as they leap through the trees.
The little vinatge monkey in the photo above was gift from a dear friend. He seems to be quite old and so sweet in his little red flannel outfit. Baby Monkey is about 4 inches tall sitting down...and such a joy!

It took more than half an hour for this monkey to get the plastic ball out of the bottle. Then he put it back and started the whole process again.
I went hiking in Dakeng, near Taichung, Taiwan. We saw four monkeys just walking across the path and hanging out in the trees. It let me get close enough to touch it if I had the guts.
These monkeys are up in the Ubid area of Bali. They live in large social groups and are quite used to people, terrorizing humans for food. Like most humans when given a choice, they will pick the junk food and steal the soda pop instead of foods that are good for them. This was taken in a preserve area,
