This little dude proceeded to have a tug of war with me over my camera then stole my rail ticket while his mate ambushed me from above and pulled my hair. Luckily i won and got both my camera and the ticket back haha.
In the rich megacity of Gurgaon, outside Delhi, macaque monkeys invade the lush green luxury hotel grounds and break into apartments steeling food and washing off the clothes lines. They can't be shot or drugged because they are sacred, so the hotels hire langur monkeys (like the one in the photo). They come on the backs of bicycles looking over the rider's shoulders, and let loose they chase the macaques away (to the grounds of the hotel next door), any day but not Tuesdays. I never found out why…… one of the mysteries of the East....

some type of wild monkey in Thailand,we were out kayaking and seen these guys along the bushes...good job I brought my camera lol
This juvenile has sadly lost its right hand at some time.
These monkeys were common in the park and were clearly used to people.
Though this is officially a national park, it is really more for swimming etc. than for the animals. It is very crowded with day trippers and is apparently one of the two most visited such areas in the country - but few go to see the animals.
Vervet Monkey, Lake Nakuru, Kenya
The vervet monkeys or green monkeys are medium-sized primates from the family of Old World monkeys. There are six species currently recognized, although some classify them all as a single species with numerous subspecies. Either way, they make up the entirety of the genus Chlorocebus.

At the monkey sanctuary on Miyajima, the monkeys are free to go wherever, so you can get right up close to them. There were eight baby monkeys there when we visited.
