One of my most ambitious modular projects. The pattern was adjusted from Vivian Hoxbro's Domino Knitting. Her pattern was mostly black with a little bit of color.

Modern modular homes are most comfortable home these days. Modular homes are built in sections in a factory setting, indoors, where they are never subjected to unfavorable weather conditions.
This 1864 banking house was demolished in 1936. I thought it was pitty that such a nice piece of architecture no longer exists. My goal was to reconstruct it in LEGO as close to original as possible.
Main living quarters complete with big tv, sofa, lazy boy, bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinet with alarm clock and lamp. Far end is the minimal kitchen just enough for what a bachelor needs.
A P90 modded to receive a higher caliber round, and setup to be disassembled for suitcasing in a pinch if/when discovered. BTW the various colored parts indicate the modular pieces.
A modular version of the origami Jackstone. The units can be assembled in 2 ways, creating different color patterns. The second is a bit unstable though.

This product is pretty cool. One guy set up this home's foundation in a couple days using this modular expanded polystyrene formwork. The consolation to using non-biodegradable polystyrene as a formwork is that you leave the blocks in place, substantially increasing the R-value of the foundation. Not losing heat to the ground represents a huge energy savings in the northern climates.

Everything is routed internally but everything can be overplugged.
This is more of a study than a real model. After a failed meta-dodecahedron attempt, I found (a bit late) than putting 5 dodecahedra in a ring causes some serious problems.
Here I wanted to see how much problem, so I put together a single ring to see the amount of distorsion it caused.
You can see here the answer : a lot ! It is heavily skewed, and there is now way to have a regular hole...
It is more than a bit of bother, as I intended to use such rings as basic elements for a ambitious project I'm working on. :/

Modular buildings can be designed to meet nearly any need. Architects designed this structure as a recreational building for residents at an upscale community outside of Las Vegas. It needed to be functional and blend in with the existing environment.

The frame I'm coupling is also going to be a disco through-axle machine, so I'm using modular dropouts on it. Alas, they don't come with mounting tabs, so I need to do some horrible tweakery to make everything work. I have a bucket full of seatstays that I'm probably never going to use, so I took a couple of them, chopped a section out of the middle to fit over the existing drop ends (which are slotted, and if I cut off the slotted parts, would put the wheel too close to the seat tube), carved them into points, fitted the in place, then filed them to fit (more or less; the file I used cut a more generous curve than the dropouts provide. FORTUNATELY brass can bridge that small gap!)
I made a rube goldberg-style jig out of a couple of sections of ⅜" tubing and a couple of wooden blocks, so I'll just balance it on top of the chainstays and tack the dropouts into place before flipping the thing dropouts down and gluing the bilam pieces and building up a fillet.
