inspired by the average house in a lot of villages in the Netherlands, I decided to just make a simple house out of a color I personally hate for buildings. this is how it turned out so far. will take a while to get further because of some other projects.

A modular castle MOC that I've built recently as a present for my six years old pal that I use to play with quite a lot (or just my nephew if you will ;) ). It includes a main gate with working drawbridge and portcullis, foldable walls and lots of space to place and pose the minifigures. As much as I could, I was trying to achieve the look and feel of the old LEGO castles that I played with as a kid back in the 80s and 90s.
Design of the battlements modules for the towers and the main gate was heavily inspired by the Kingdoms Modular Castle Creator LEGO Ideas project by Michael Kalkwarf (www.flickr.com/photos/michaelkalkwarf/).

At the end of the day, the construction crew started their work till I'll get the second order shipped. (And I start wonder whether there is a point in writing captions for these pictures.)
The idea behind this is the fact that my LEGO minifigs have no real residential areas (not counting the weekend houses). When I first saw Orangyal007's small-scale modular house (www.flickr.com/photos/51018897@N03/6306582895/in/photostream) I knew what to do.

Modular Scooter Dealer with Octan Headquarters, ground floor detail: Some flowers on the outside, the trademark flags, and a very simple exterior lamp design I haven't seen anybody else use yet.
