Several years ago I thought up this concept for a FriendSHIP sub-theme.
Imagine little sets like the Friends bedroom sets, representing different spaceship cabins (medbay, greenhouse, airlock, bunk room, conference room, etc.) that can each click onto the sides of a central corridor. You can attach whichever ones you have in any order, or make your own.
At one end of the main corridor is the bridge (a somewhat larger set, though still with a crazily low parts count in this draft).
At the other end of the corridor there would be an engineering section and then engines, but I never built the back half. At this point I never will.
This MOC has just been taking up space and collecting dust for years, and I've never felt particularly inspired to finish it. The model itself is not that great, and the concept is well illustrated by the parts I already built. So I'm finally taking photos and then breaking it down for parts. Enjoy!
My father's tunnels' with a update. Back in 1999 - 2005, my father kinda went on a LEGO building spree. He built the orginal single track tunnel, a red / white shed (later expanded to double track), a bridge using 6552's river baseplate, a Factory, and an unifinished grain elevator. i am remaking them all to show to the world via Flickr & MOC Pages. The real models have been in my fathers basement since they were built. Anyway, I recreated his tunnel, took off the 32x32 green baseplate, made them modular, and made a double track version to boot. I one of the following photos, you will see one of the way to use both the single& double tracks at the same time... enjoy!

This is the variant showing both sides of the paper. I chose that to make the collars more visible. A octahedron assembly makes the collar a flat square, that's why I chose that. I payed attention not to fold the small triangles forming the collar to achieve a cleaner result (folding step 6 and 12).
I thought I had to glue that, because one folds up the pockets and flaps, but surprisingly it worked without.
Ground floor - had I used a different angle, you could see that the man wears a prison shirt and looks at the golden crowbar...

It is no longer a W.I.P., so I might add good pictures of the whole thing soon. Since it is for a LUG event, it had to be modular, and everything seems to go together well. Magma brought his dragon and soldiers, so everything is sitting and waiting for sunlight...

The idea behind this is the fact that my LEGO minifigs have no real residential areas (not counting the weekend houses). When I first saw Orangyal007's small-scale modular house (www.flickr.com/photos/51018897@N03/6306582895/in/photostream) I knew what to do.

The roof is a little green playground for kids, and you can meet the two iconic characters of Disney, Mickey and Minnie! Kids are queuing up to take great pictures with them, and later you will see even more other characters around the year. While I can design a simple hinged door on the rooftop, I created this version so that the panel can be folded up once more to avoid visual intrusion (if it is one big panel, it will stand up and be seen behind the tower on the front elevation! Not good!)

This Modular Double Cube was created in 2001 and was in my display shelf all these years. The model was folded from copy papers and still looked good, although the colours are slightly faded.
3 slightly different modules, 12 of each are used in the assembly. The rough sketches of the modules were sent to Meenakshi Mukerji who successfully managed to decipher and reproduced the model and posted it at her website - www.origamee.net/index.html

The 153rd Airlift Wing from Cheyenne, Wyo., use a Modular Air Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) equipped Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft in support of the Waldo Canyon wild fire in Colorado Springs, Colo., on June 27, 2012. Four MAFFS-equipped aircraft from the 302nd and 153rd Airlift Wings flew in support of the U.S. Forest Service as they fought fires in Colorado. The standard container for various purposes is suitable for international container transport. It is of appropriate external dimensions and has connections for lifting and fixing or compounding. The container is designed as a light construction consisting of floor and roof frames and corner profiles. The construction enables compounding of individual containers in longitudinal and transverse directions without limits. It also enables compounding of containers in 2 floors in height (ground floor + first floor), or in 3 floors in height for warehousing of these containers (ground floor + 2 floor).
The wainscots of the container are made of light insulation panels and offer pleasant climate in the interior due to their building and physical properties.
Delivery: Containers can be delivered assembled or individually in kits 648 mm high.4 kits can be bundled in packages 2591 mm high (ISO dimensions)
