The new layout for November 2013. I'm running out of room here so I think it's time I built some more shelf space :D

The bridge of course is itself modular. This allows me to make it as long or short as I need, depending on how wide the river is.

And I want to build a destroyed bridge section at some point as well. I can't put my old armored bridgelayer out of work, can I?

This is 1 of 12 needed. It is hard to see, but in between the 5 red squares are smaller modular triangles (they are the ones with the blue piece), and each decagon is made up of 50 pieces of paper.

If there were a hotel on the Moon, what would it look like ? You get to decide with the Modular Moon Hotel !

The model is made of 8 layers, that you can arrange the way you want ! To assemble the Hotel, simly slide each floor on the two Technic axles. You can also use longer Technic axles and create your own floors to make an even bigger hotel !

It also features a miniature rendition of my flying taxi.

On the top floor, he has a chair with a desk, a TV with a cabinet and a plant. Not much with modern housing standards, but he came from 1986.

The idea behind this is the fact that my LEGO minifigs have no real residential areas (not counting the weekend houses). When I first saw Orangyal007's small-scale modular house (www.flickr.com/photos/51018897@N03/6306582895/in/photostream) I knew what to do.

My new tool, Clavia Nord Modular G2!

Long time before i played a little bit with the demo software, that was my first contact with modular sounds. In any way i missed this all time till now and i don't know why i waited till today to buy this fantastic machine. More about that i really enjoy about the USB connectivity..

Above you see my Virus C and down under a Kawai K4.

More pictures of the colony ship. I actually prefer the shorter variants pictured at the end. Also much easier to move around. The completed thing falls apart a lot when moved even slightly.

When I tear it apart perhaps I shall post more pictures, but there's nothing especially exciting going on internally, apart from maybe the bridge.

Apologies for the lack of post-production on these, but I simply don't care enough to faff around trying to remove backgrounds, etc. I'm impressed by the clean photography from many of you, but I'm not that person.

Modular lamppost with a 2x2 x 1 1/3 base.

Fits easely into the walkway, kind of plug-and-play.

The red line on the lamppost base indicates the way to place it into the modular MultiRoad street module. You can see the male connector pins on the right side of the base.

As you can see, there's a small PCB mounted in the walkway. There's also a small PCB (12 x 12 mm) mounted into the lamppost base, containing the male connector, a serie resistor (470 Ohm) and a diode 1N4148 placed anti parallel over the LED.

This protects the LED for (permanent) damage when inverse polarised. It seems to be that modern LED's are more sensitive to reverse polarisation then let say the ones from +10 years ago.

Several years ago I thought up this concept for a FriendSHIP sub-theme.

Imagine little sets like the Friends bedroom sets, representing different spaceship cabins (medbay, greenhouse, airlock, bunk room, conference room, etc.) that can each click onto the sides of a central corridor. You can attach whichever ones you have in any order, or make your own.

At one end of the main corridor is the bridge (a somewhat larger set, though still with a crazily low parts count in this draft).

At the other end of the corridor there would be an engineering section and then engines, but I never built the back half. At this point I never will.

This MOC has just been taking up space and collecting dust for years, and I've never felt particularly inspired to finish it. The model itself is not that great, and the concept is well illustrated by the parts I already built. So I'm finally taking photos and then breaking it down for parts. Enjoy!

On the ground floor part of the outer wall can be swivelled aside to peek into the front chamber and kitchen (though the last one is quite dark). The white edge on street level is a very tiny cellar window. At the right side of the writing desk one can see the cover of the cellar entry in dark tan.

Our Modular city is growing.
