These were prototypes of different modular designs (sonobe units and mette rings) for final versions which were to be hung as a mobile for my cousin's newborn twins. Most babies get animals - they better be math prodigies by the time they're out of the crib!

Modular Apartment, first floor detail: The kitchen is a little cramped, but what can you expect from a building with a 8x32 footprint? Here's the fridge and a place for the owner to put his bag, plus a decorative golden plate.
Modular Apartment, top floor detail: The guy who's living here has a thing for old stuff, like this golden trident and some ancient symbols that he's put on his wall. There's a couple of shelves in the corner, with a lamp and a trophy of some sort on them.

The new layout for November 2013. I'm running out of room here so I think it's time I built some more shelf space :D
9 units
Márcia Krone created an amazing unit that she meaningfuly called LEGO. It has lots and lots of possibilities and, aware of that, Márcia not only designed several models using it but also started the project “Giramódulo”. In this project it is created a chain of folders with each one making a design using one or several LEGO modules and after that invinting another folder for the challenge.
I named this one Márcia because it was made with Márcia’s unit, the curls were inpired in several models of her and I owe Márcia these very 1st modulars of mine.
Muito obrigado, Márcia!! :)
The bridge of course is itself modular. This allows me to make it as long or short as I need, depending on how wide the river is.
And I want to build a destroyed bridge section at some point as well. I can't put my old armored bridgelayer out of work, can I?
Here is another section of modular terrain. This time I chose to do a stream, since water is one of the areas where I think modular terrain standards could benefit from an update.
