In my spare time (when I'm not shooting something with my Nikon, or devising clever spreadsheets for my employer,) I airbrush model horses. Here is an Andalusian model (by Breyer) that I did just this evening.
This weekend I'll be painting another Breyer model called Huckleberry Bey. I use an Iwata custom micron, CM-C+, and Higgins inks, plus another Iwata with custom-blended acrylics. :)

A fine oscillatory steam engine ,spirit fired with safety valve , whistle and regulator valve. The boiler side plates appear to come from a Bowman model but the engine with its displacement lubricator and brass flywheel do not look like any commercial model I have seen.
Leaflet from Promotional Models detailing code 3 versions of Matchbox Yesteryear models - mostly Ford Model T vans, with a Pickfords breakdown truck and a Royal Mail Talbot van. This was included with another of their vans, a Golden Shred Talbot, so not all their products are illustrated here. Photos of my Golden Shred van wil be on this site. It says that all releases are limited to 500.
In the context of war aid the British received Sherman tanks from the USA during WW II. The turrets were modified to allow them to take the heavy 17 pounder (about 90 mm) anti-tank and artillery gun. The Sherman Firefly deployed only by the British was a hybrid od the American's many manufactoring series and had the most powerful gun of all manufacturing runs. With armour-piercing ammunition the fire of the heavy German tanks could now be countered earlier and the losses significantly reduced. This 32.7-tonne tank was introduced in 1943 and immediately incorporated into the armoured units. The tank was very successful although it could not be produced in large numbers. The 5-man crew had an ammunition stock of 77 rounds and the 425 horsepower Chrysler engine could accelerate the Firefly to up to 40 kph.
