In this photo I have placed a small octabox above Olaf by means of a tree tripod, in such a way that his face is well lit and he has very subtly small points of light in his eyes.
Due to the position of the lamp, less light falls on his hands.

By letting go of rules, you will discover new possibilities. In this photo, both left and right are behind a studio lamp, which is equipped with a softbox, but without a cloth, which normally makes the light more diffuse.
This harsh light beautifully emphasizes the texture of his skin.
On the right front is a third studio lamp with an umbrella with a silver interior.
The hard light from the back makes this photo very strong for me.

For me, a photo is successful if multiple elements come together.
A good balance of light and shadow is a part that you as a photographer continue to play with. In this photo we used the outside wall of my studio and next to it a bicycle shed, which you can use to easily control light.
Using such a wall can invite the model to lean against the wall, which affects her pose.
The soft color tones in her clothes ensure that the photo looks calm.
Her calm appearance completes the photo for me, her appearance makes me look at the photo longer because it somehow arouses this photo's curiosity.
This way, several puzzle pieces come together to form a beautiful whole.

An old factory hall, consisting of old walls and large windows and a pallet in the foreground, as a repoussoir, to enhance the depth in this photo. This is an easy and simple setting for this photo.
At that moment Ilse was standing in front of the camera for another photographer. But from my position, I found the combination between the stylish of Ilse Visser and the urbex look of the Art for You studio a nice contrast.
