Another upgrade for my UN M113 Familia.
This has been made a plate shorter like all my M113 models. It was not as simple as just taking a few plates off like it may appear. Taking a plate off in height meant i had to totally rebuild the model so figures would still fit but also so the function of the top and bottom sections separating to access figures would still work...it does! Was a pain
The last time this model was in a public photo it had two plate thick extra side armour which i never liked that much but had no choice at the time. With those new angled tiles I've managed to thin them to only a tile on the outside which i really prefer.
Completely new turret, two plates thinner and looks much better.
Added antennas this time too. I also added some differences to the back half of the side armour to to replicate how the real thing looks. I changed the front as well and its connection is different then before.
One last change(that i remember lol) is the drivers hatch is now connected differently on this model and on all my M113 collection. So now it can swivel around for whatever placement wanted and can actually pop over the hatch hole and properly close it up where as before it was purely just for looks.
I have some white neck brackets in the mail finally to replace the light bley on the UN fleet.
Its snowing here in the UK, I still have not bought new lamps to take better photos so this will have to do!
Working on a Panhard to go with this!
Photo from my last Poland trip with a miscalibrated Leica M240 but luckily here I got a usable photo.
..I tend to (always!) favour film photography over digital so mostly use my digital cameras just to test or to warm up the models. I don't post many of the digital images as wait to develop the film. On occasion the film cameras can fail or something go not to plan and so very few photos get shared from a certain model or trip. The last Poland trip was a bit like this. One roll of colour film didnt spool properly so I got 36 blanks. In Ukraine the M3 was miscalibrated.. etc etc. As such I will now try to go back and share some more digital images.
The last Poland trip was a double slap in the face as both the digital and film cameras were failing me at times. Blog to follow at some stage.

In this photo I have placed a small octabox above Olaf by means of a tree tripod, in such a way that his face is well lit and he has very subtly small points of light in his eyes.
Due to the position of the lamp, less light falls on his hands.

This was a background I wanted to use since I first saw it. Since we were in the area it was a perfect time to stop by. I love Julia's look and the feel of the background.

I never have an idea in advance, but by using insights from each other, you can discover new opportunities and possibilities at every location.
Also in this photo it is not that I took the photo, I did that together with the model.
