Not one of my favorite painted kits in the least! I was impatient with this and the result?. Scratched paint, blotchy work, and simply a bad looking model!
Ah well.
The Aurora Monster Scenes model kits were quite controversial- several parent and religious groups protested them believing they promoted sex and sadism among children. The negative publicity led to an immediate halt in production and a recall of stock from store shelves in the U.S. So, now the kits are highly sought after and are fairly expensive. They were recently reproduced although the artwork on the new boxes is different.
