I think I went a little heavy on the weathering on the cockpit, but oh well, it's not Maschinen Krieger if it's not super weathered and filthy.
Guillow "Fly-Boy" model aeroplane kit, balsa construction with tissue covering. Ever since I was a child, I've wanted to build a working model aeroplane, and have made two attempts in the past, as a teenager, and later on in my early twenties without ever finishing. So, this time, I was determined to get to the final assembly. Not an especially well-executed build, but a quick tet flight in the garden shows that it flies straight, so I'm satisfied.
So, I've been moonlighting as a gunpla builder here and there, and haven't really built anything especially interesting or exciting to share, but I finally reached a point with this custom 30 Minute Missions kit that I thought it was worth posting a WIP shot. The main build is done (unless I can find a better solution for the knees) and all that remains is a little paint (just accents, really) and a matte clear coat to finish it off. The kunai is probably not staying, I just stuck it on there too see how it looked.
It's made from 2 Altos (black and light grey), an Air Fighter exa-vehicle, and loads of bits from a variety of option sets.
It is not really modelling weather here in our warm months, but even so I have built this Italeri 1/72 scale Mirage 2000 out of the box. Love the French Lady, as we down under call the Mirage.
1/8th scale kit that was given to me built, but falling appart. I took everything appart, repainted it and even added a few things. I added scratch built hose clamps made from wire, valve stems from a 32 ford, flocked carpet, 32 Ford headlights (since the originals were missing parts) clear red shift knob, and a "Road Devils" Club plaque.
Fujimi Suzuki Jimny Custom, with spring over axle conversion, 33" Super Swamper and custom build electric winch.
Tamiya scale model kit in 1/48th scale.
Model represented will be "Snortin'Bull' as flown by Capt. James Mulling, 507 Fighter Squadron, 404 Fighter Group, based at Saint-Trond airbase in 1944.
Here is a '67 Chevelle (1/25 scale, by Revell) that I've been working on lately. I was going for a beat up, Mad Max, Post Apocalyptic type of vibe with it.
I started with a base coat of matte black, then applied some chalk pastels and acrylics ontop of that. For damage to the body, I used a wood burner. This was a lot of fun to do, and definitely gives me ideas for future projects.
This is first in the wold completed assembly by me of new scale model kit which is produced by new Ukrainian "Clear Prop" Company.

Painted model kit with a custom made base to stand on.
By far the best model kit I’ve built. Painted most details and added battle damage, also added a real cloth piece. I’ve shaped the base to resemble a rocky place somewhere on Tatooine.
