This build up was from an original issue 1957 Revell kit that started as a minor glue bomb. I re-fitted the multi-piece body and then sanded out the casting flaws. It is spray painted in a green metallic similar to the original plastic colour. The tonneau cover is from a later issue of this kit and the wheels are from an AMT 57 Hardtop kit as I did not care for the plastic ones that were offered with the kit from Revell. The box has typical great art work as so many models by Revell did at that time. Inside are the original instructions and decals to replicate the box picture. The worst part of this kit was it was first issued in 1957 as a 4 door country squire and then they butchered the dies in 1959 to offer this Ranchero body style. As a result the doors are not to scale in length as they should be longer for a 2 door vehicle. The Ranchero dies after 2 editions were butchered again to offer a chopped top version so don't be looking to see this kit anytime soon. If you want the very first one in the Country Squire body style start saving your change they are not cheap if you can find one.
Hot on the heels of getting "Best Space" at BrickFair VA, my Turquoise Terror got 1st place in the Gundam category at the International Plastic Modelers Society National convention in Chattanooga. I was pleasantly surprised to find this out when I went back to the table to pack all my stuff up, since I'd assumed I wouldn't place and missed the 5 minutes of the 3 hour awards ceremony I would have actually cared about.
Different views of an original design of a tiny Mobile Suit. The original toy came in a box of sweets and was a very very basic assemble toy of Brocken from Japanese anime: Patlabor. It's about only 4 cm tall and was assembled, converted and completed by my BB very many years ago.

Guillow "Fly-Boy" model aeroplane kit, balsa construction with tissue covering. Ever since I was a child, I've wanted to build a working model aeroplane, and have made two attempts in the past, as a teenager, and later on in my early twenties without ever finishing. So, this time, I was determined to get to the final assembly. Not an especially well-executed build, but a quick tet flight in the garden shows that it flies straight, so I'm satisfied.

When i was a child, i loved to build modelkits of ships and planes. But it was the artwork on the box top, that really excited me. Those artworks werde done by artists like John Steel, Jack Leynnwood or Roy Cross and all those years, they still impress me.
My painting is a homage to all those great artists. It shows the IJN Kaga, a heavy aircraft carrier of the imperial Japanese navy on her last voyage in 1942. At first light, she is heading trough heavy seas of the pacific towards Midway island, where she will meet her fate.
I spend hours and hours of research to get the technical details right, but the most challenge became the waves, which I have overpainted a couple of times until i was satisfied.

Building this Danboard is more stressful than any perfect grade Gundam that I ever did.
The instruction is just horrible.Barely understand anything, till I realize Kaiyodo gave us lots of spare parts for this danbo. So I dont have to use all the parts. I guess they realize how hard it is to build this guy.
Spent around 3 hours just to build this guy.....well around 1 hours to just read the instruction.
And the most annoying about this danbo is, like the real danbo in comic book, you actually need a tape to put him together!!!!!! And be extra careful when you took the circle and triangle from his face. Cos you might rip his face if you're not careful enough.
When I put him together, i keep thinking there's no way he's worth the money that we're paying. Especially with super high shipping for danbo.
But then When I finally finished him, and put him next to yotsuba, all the hard work and money that i spent seems to pay off. he looks amazing next to yotsuba. I'm not a big fan
