Model Pilot Boat at speed.

This is the sheet containing all of the cabin windows. Each set must be cut out and applied to the inside of the cabin walls.

The wheel house windows are tricky, because you have to carefully line up the painted window panes inside the openings.

I made a high-quality scan of this before I chopped it up. Check it out if you want your own copy!

Albina posing in "Cold" series we did at Boat Museum.

Very impressed with the new camera - 1/320 @f4, ISO 100 and about 100mm focal length on this one.

The remaining pieces for the cabin and wheel house need to be painted, too.

The masts, life preservers and ladders all get fresh coats.

Stunningly detailed bow of the Sydney double-ended K class ferry Kareela- in service 1905-1959.

Badge designed by Dick Frew. The signal flags read the initials of the club, IMBC. ( The Imbeciles)

Now we have to inverse all the masking we did for the main deck, so we can paint the outer hull.

I also let the bollard and winch peek through so they could get a coat at the same time.

The glue has set and we're one step closer to completion.

These clamps came in extremely handy during assembly!

A series of pics to show that I am slowly getting there with my 1/12th scale model of the 47ft Watson Class lifeboat. Still a very long way to go, and I haven't really started on the hull and running gear yet. Compare with the real thing

When we launched David Cunninghame's Marie Sophie, Gooders was given the honour of being in command for her first trip around the pond.

Theodore Too is a tug boat whose eyes move in the same direction as it turns, it also squirts water from from its bow.

Taken at New Brighton boating lake.

The outer hull has been repainted a glossy black, but the water line requires a separate paint application.

I used blue painter's tape so it wouldn't peel off my undercoat when I removed it.

Underside of wheel house deck. The grooves fit atop the deck walls.

Ferrari model boat Wood 35" Handmade

Been over three years in the making, but with little spare time to devote to her, I don't mind. Will be in the water in a couple of weeks time, then some more detailing, railings and some rigging etc, to complete her to my satisfaction.

Side view of the assembly. The next step will be applying glosscote to seal everything.
