My first remote controlled boat. Built from a plan in a model boat magazine 34 years ago, I only fairly recently retro fitted RC to allow it to be used in the boating pond. The superstructure is built from a "Cornflake" Cereal box but has stood the test of time thanks to a coating of cellulose dope and Humbrol paints. Balsa wood was used during the refit. Photo taken on my dining room table using window light with card background.

At the Mega Train event at Red River Ex Grounds in Winnipeg. Dude building a model boat. Don't touch!

I had to share this image, I was making coffee in the kitchen which leads to my garden room which hence the name looks over my gardens and woodland, The sun was shining on the glass top of my unit and causing a reflection from and on my husbands hand made metal Ship. It was such a unique moment as the Sun hit the Ship and glass and mimicked reflections as if the boat was Steaming along in the sea, then of course by standing just at the right angle my lens picked up bokeh and mimicked sea spray.. have a wonderful Wednesday ~ KissThePixel2019

Decided to try something a little different.

Carefully placed this small model Maltese boat on a stream, obviously it was it not moving and filled it with meal worms.

I love you with the intensity of the sun behind dark, gloomy clouds.

He said, his words drip with the dark waters he's treading.

I love you with the intensity of the relentless struggle the ocean has, always returning to kiss the shore one more time.

She said, her lips covered in crystal grains of sand.

I hate you so much the only reason must be love. They recite together, all meaning lost at sea.

more of Kyla's amazing poetry! she is also the lovely model who layed on a thin towel on the frozen lake covered in snow..I have the best models (:

These two photos are from our day trip before we went to Stratford for the week! You may remember, JJ and I went to Ryde, Isle of Wight for the day. After stomping around on the sandy beach, we continued back for the catamaran passing the Canoe Lake. The clouds were coming over and we didn't expect to see anyone there, but there were a couple of guys floating their boats there!

Bogie also on his way to his one and only Oscar : Hepburn was also fantastic.

This model was on display at Southport Model Club.

Model sailing boat on Victorian boating lake in Sheringham

I feel like I'm in a rut. It's come to this - a model craft at one of the local parks. Kinda cool, actually - every time I go to this particular park seems like, the local model boat "club" is meeting. They've really got some detailed big models cruising around. If I had asked, I'm sure I could have gotten a ton of info on this model. The Wood Ducks were not too far away, by the way - from last week.

Check it "large". Give it a couple of clicks. It's very detailed, pretty fun.

We drove through the idyllic surrounds of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre at Boondall this morning and stumbled on the local model boat club giving their ships and boats a run on one of its lakes. It's been quite a few years since we have seen them in action but they are quite fascinating to watch.

This shot features three different generations, a stealthy black monster at the rear, not sure what sort of boat the one on the left is, it had no rigging at the rear to give it away (perhaps just a fishing runabout) and the star of the show, "Grace" a beautiful model in the front on the right. Grace was even emitting smoke from her funnel.

Looking to one of the smaller basins of the Tuileries Gardens, featuring model sailing boats circling the water.

There was a remote control model boat show at the Maritime Museum on Sunday and this one cracked us up. Jocko the monkey taking his girlfriend for a spin in his motorboat! He actually turned the wheel as the boat moved.

I am beyond honored to say that the delightful and very talented jillysp has done a feature of little brownie and I on her fabulous blog For The Love of Brooklyn. Jill's photography and her blog both do an incredible job of showcasing the charm and personality of Brooklyn, I fully recommend a look at both!

Thanks so much Jill for helping me spread the brownie love, I am truly flattered!

Just that, a galleon run aground - fear not a chap in waders jumped in and released it . A little later on I saw it on it's stand and overheard the chap say he built it up from scratch . It certainly looked to be well crafted , just look at the barrels when enlarged . There are a number of figures on board ( you can just see an arm under the sail ) .

It was gliding backwards and forwards on the water here at Bushy Park so I guess it does have a motor tucked away somewhere .

Crazy Tuesday theme: Broken

Just a quick snap. I'm bored as I'm home alone. I'm the first of my housemates back already.

I hope everyone had a wonderful chirstmas and new years :)

A radio controlled model rowing boat being rowed by Woody from Toy Story. The pond near the car park is popular with model boaters and the wildlife does not seem to care about the intrusion.

For many years dating back to the nineteen hundreds, Dedham has been known as the place to hire a Rowing Boat. That tradition is continued today by the Boathouse Restaurant, which has 26 Clinker built Rowing Boats for hire for a leisurely row along the river Stour. Flatford Mill, the Mill made famous by John Constable is just a mile and a half row along the river from Dedham! Not being water creatures we walked and just watched everyone else rowing!

Perhaps this is the Thunderbirds! Do you remember them - oldies like me. I used to love them, my wife cringes at the thought.

One of the model boats we caught at the lake at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Boondall, Brisbane the other week. These little things really buzz around. Boy's toys.
